These are the first 4 ASC Conference Championship Track & Field rings we won at McMurry University when McMurry restarted it's track program with our team in 1999 and joined the American Southwest Conference. Since then they have won many more than they have lost on the men's and women's side. The men have had 2 National championships since then and we were able to finish as National Runners-Up my senior year in 2002. McMurry is changing conferences next year, so April 25-27 will be the last ASC meet for us. We hope to end the ASC in track just as we started it, with a men's and women's championship. McMurry is hosting the meet this year and it happens to also be on alumni weekend! So we're calling all McMurry University Track alumni to join us in coming out an supporting these athletes as they finish what we started. My goal is to make this meet look more like a football game with the stands full of alumni and their families! I would love for all of our kids to get to meet each other and watch where we came from!

Proud of this kid today! Zihna, 10, lead climbing Gravity Girl rated 5.7 today. Very proud of her for staying calm and focused through the scary parts. She climbs mountains, rock climbs, pole vaults, plays basketball and golf and takes my personal headshots for me 🤷‍♀️😁

I made the alumni spotlight for McMurry University! :) My time at McMurry on the track team and my time serving on the alumni board have served me well in my business and in my life.

Congratulations to the Graford Jackrabbits on making it back to the Regional Tournament! Graford Fun Fact: The last time Graford didn't make it to the regional tournament was the year Zihna was born. She will be 11 in two weeks. I remember this clearly because Derek was still coaching basketball he was jokingly asked what he would do if we made it to state and she was born then (it was a valid question since she has now spent two of her birthdays watching Graford play in the state tournament, last year they won it on her birthday). Anyway, that year we faced a tough top ranked Crowell team and lost in the regional quarterfinal. I've got pictures of this group of boys dating all the way back to youth basketball league when they were in elementary!

Also shoutout to those Seymour Panthers for taking Lipan into double overtime last night! Not the outcome they wanted I know, but it sounds like it was a great game!

Congratulations to Bailey & Thomas on their engagement! I went to elementary through JH with Bailey's Mom in the tiny town of Samnorwood then she and her husband ended up working for my husband's uncle at the Boys & Girls Club in Wichita Falls. I started doing their family pictures when Bailey was just an elementary aged kid but we became closer friends with each other when she started going to school at my alma mater, McMurry University. I enjoy getting to see what she's doing on campus when I'm on campus for various things. She was recently voted Miss McMurry at the Centennial Homecoming. She has picked a great person to spend her life with and I'm excited for what the future holds for these two!
