Yesterday at church we talked about being still. Being still to hear Gods voice- for clarity- for direction- for discernment. Today I went and walked in the woods for awhile and practiced noticing.
Nature always brings me closer to God, closer to myself, closer to calm.

I noticed a lot of things but I found fascinating is that by intentionally noticing, I saw this web- that had to be hit with the light just right to see it.
Webs have always been so fascinating to me— they’re completely is so beautiful. I was thinking about the idea of being still and how great these spiders are, at it. In fact - there life depends on them being still.
They do the thing they were created to do- they do the work. They spin this incredible web… then be still & wait.
Like God says- if you spin this invisible web, it will feed you.
The spider 🕷️ just does it- we however have to question it again and again and then even often decide nope. I don’t see the fruit of that request.
Wonder how life would be if we just did the things that don’t make sense simply because God asks us to- and expect them to be fed because we trust Him.
Nature has such a way of teaching trust without question.

Go spend a minute or two in nature & just - be still. You’ll soul will thank you.

Almost 100 pounds lighter. Almost to his wedding day weight wondering what was different this time… why it’s “working” and it feels like he’s doing “nothing” to earn it. No restrictive dieting, no amped up workouts. “ I don’t understand why I keep losing, I’m not doing anything”
“ Aside from staying hydrated, being intentional about my sleep, really asking myself what I actually need, when I feel hungry… and then I do that. I don’t eat if I’m not actually hungry.”
Me- so you feel like because it’s not restrictive or amped up- you’re not doing anything - but I just hear you’re asking your body what it needs- and then respecting what it says… and it’s responding.
Him” yeah, that’s right. I’ve just always tried to lose 30 pounds in 30 days and I’m learning a point a week is more sustainable”
Me- so , small consistent decisions, are adding up to lasting change that feels, easy
Him” yeah, that’s right- I’m also realizing weightloss is way more of a mental game than a physical one. I’m changing thought patterns and engrained expectations I’ve had since I was a kid .
Me- losing weight fast, is easy- but it’s not sustainable, your self beliefs and identity can’t change in 30 days- and that’s what has to change- in order to keep the changes.
Him” yeah that’s right where I’m at- and it’s been a very rewarding experience. I now have to go buy all new clothes but I’m excited to buy things that showcase who I am , vs what is comfortable. As a leader in my company , it’s also important to have confidence to build trust in those I lead. It’s all a ripple effect and really excited to continue the journey”

I love. What I get to do every day. Being witness to the unraveling of behaviors that hold us back from everything God created us to be.
