IT IS FINISHED! The new website is live!

My goodness. 36 days of mostly around the clock work. I even went a bit blind once because I wasn't sleeping, drinking water or looking at anything other than my computer for too long. It's been a wild month. The more I looked into things, the more outdated nonsense I found. I built a whole site on squarespace and then thought it wasn't good enough and tossed it in the trash and started completely over.

Things have changed. People are finding vendors from chat gpt and the knot isn't what it used to be and we just did not exist when it comes to SEO. We have just been booking full seasons with no effort for so long having a presence online didn't mean much but that is foolish and I am glad I finally made this a major priority.

So here I am. This site is beautiful. It is intentionally made for mobile, not just as an afterthought. It is optimized in every way something can be optimized. I'm coming for you google rankings! This is just the foundation upon which I shall build my SEO empire!

Note: Only the first featured wedding goes to where it should. The other two still need to be made but I have editing to do so I will get those live in the next few days. I figured it isn't the end of the world. Otherwise, nothing else should be missing or broken.

Holly has been working her tail off redoing our entire website for the last month and when she asked me which three weddings should be featured, Hayley and Alex were an immediate yes.

They got married at Westers Family Winery on a perfect fall day and honestly everything about it just worked. They both had such a great sense of humor, a whole lot of love for their families, and Alex had a sweet car that made its way into a few shots which just made the whole thing more fun.

The light was perfect all day, the day was chill, the people were happy. I really couldn't have asked for more. Oh and Holly has not stopped talking about her dress, those pearly sheer sleeves. If you know Holly, you know how she feels about a cool dress! Those kinds of weddings at the end of a long season just feel like a gift.

So excited to finally share this one.

It had been nearly 15 years since I had seen Cornel and she has a whole big family now! I was so happy to be able to hang out with them while I was down in Cincinnati and do this for them at their beautiful house!

It can't be overstated how big of a part the Davis family has held in my life. Becky was my second mom and my own mom's best friend, Travis always showed me what a good father was and actually officiated Holly and my wedding. Lindsay was one of my very best friends and I have so many good memories with her. Troy is like my gigantic little brother and Val, her grandma was my Sunday school teacher! With all that history, this has to be one of my most enjoyable shoots and I am so glad I got to do this for them!!

Help us find our new portfolio to put on our new website! Also please share so it can reach more people.

Ryan has abandoned me for some big sports game tonight and I need to cut this in half to be the best of the best.
I want the most striking, most emotional, most joyful, best candid so it stops people long enough to want to keep looking.

I hope it will then keep people long enough to start looking through the blogs where they will see more of the storytelling side to things but I want to start with all the ones that really grab you.

I’m the type who could easily fly south for the entire winter… but weddings like this definitely lift my spirits, and honestly? Winter weddings have the best light. Soft. Clean. Dreamy. You know I’m always here for that.

Jessica and Andrew are all about their people. You can tell they’ve invested deeply in the relationships around them and that kind of love always raises the fun level. The energy, the emotion, the way everyone showed up for them… it made this day something special.

We captured some really fun images at Bay Pointe “the Woods” venue, and with The Best Day Details on the team, you already know we made the dream work.

We just love Jess and . They are some of the sweetest and most genuine people, we were so happy to be able to do this for them and their family. Plus I have been wanting to come check out this new venue, Millhaven! Winter weddings can be pretty tough sometimes but this place had so many interesting indoor nooks and the greenhouse was amazing as you can see. The checkered floors were to die for!

Annnnyway, check out this beautiful winter wedding and someone bring be back there so I can do it all again! (Preferably in the summer this time 😅)
