I’m not sure there is anything more naturally photogenic than an old w**e cellar. **elover **e

Shortly after completing my fine art stereoptic series, I wanted to find a way to take the technique to the next level. Fortunately, my friends Jim and Tanya of The Ordinary Two were up for giving it a try.

The first image is a standard 2D image, the second is a Stereoptic 3D version. You can see it in 3D by relaxing and crossing your eyes until a third image appears in the middle of your vision.

I don't take a lot of senior pics, but they are really fun. I love working with the kids to deliver exactly what they want. They come up with the ideas and I fill in the blanks.

Since the incredible Blue Angels have been flying around the valley in preparation for the air show this Saturday, I've been feeling a little nostalgic. I haven't looked at these images in a long time. I took these in 2012. I hope I get the chance to take more pics of them someday. It would be fun to see what I can do with better equipment and at least 14 years more experience. However, this weekend I'll be at a differently cool event, Applefest in Cedaredge.

This is still one of my favorite photographs. I don't usually take my camera with me on random hikes because the lighting is usually best at either far end of the days. Fortunately, it takes a while for the sun to rise when you're hiking in a canyon.

Seeing a photograph printed sheds a whole new light on the subject. I knew I liked this photograph the moment it was captured. I liked it even more after I saw it printed at 2 feet by 3 feet.

It also helps that it was taken in a really cool place with a lot of great memories of epic adventures.

Have you heard The Ordinary Two? They have a new EP out and it's great. Bonus that they used one of my images for the cover. I was particularly stuck by the song "Haunted." I had this idea for a video and ran with it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AkcpkGD00_o

See them in person this weekend at Applefest in Cedaredge.

When the Ordinary Two released their new EP 'Stereo', I was immedia...

Stay tuned for a chance to see some of my work in a larger format than social media.

I’m turning my office into a gallery. If you haven’t seen my 3d images in person, here’s a good chance. I’ll do an open house soon.

I'm not sure there is other perspective in Arches where you can see 4 arches at the same time. Anyone else know?

I never tire of Arches NP. Last time I was in this spot, there was about 8 inches of snow on the ground.
