I’ve been seeing a lot of these HEAVILY edited photos on Instagram lately and I’m not sure how to feel about it. Does this new style of editing where the background it’s completely blurred and edit out and the foreground character is enhanced to almost seem flawless. For me this takes away the natural beauty and nature of the original image. I believe it is a disservice to the photography community. Is this just me or do you feel the same.

Bokeh is cool, but if you really want to capture the story behind the image SOMETIMES, you have to increase the aperture (f number), increase the distance between your subject, and the background. Those adjustments will increase your depth of field which will tell more of the story without the blur effect.
