Weddings come and go so quickly. Before I drive home after each one, I’ve started recording a voice memo so I don’t forget the little things that made each day unique.

Listening back to Chloe + Joel’s, I noticed there was one word I repeated more than any other: family.

It showed up everywhere—from a generations-old tradition of performing skits during the reception, to childhood slideshows, to family members stepping into meaningful roles like officiating the ceremony and emceeing the reception.

Every part of the day felt rooted in the people who loved them long before this day, and it was a beautiful thing to witness two families become one.

Some weddings are remembered for the details. Theirs will be remembered for the people.

The first timeline calls of the year are happening, SO many spring sessions are around the corner, and that creative energy is starting to flow effortlessly again (finally).

There’s something about this season — it always brings a fresh wave of inspiration + excitement, and I already know this year is going to be a special one. I can feel it. ✨

Some people want to hike until they find a place that feels right. With no one around but each other and the sounds of nature (annnnnd your favorite third wheel with a 📸 😉)

That’s exactly what these two did at Mount Rainier.

This year's locations have a whimsical theme. The first location (5/23) is a riverside park with some of the best golden hour light in the city — willow trees, water, and lots of open space to play + explore. And the other is a garden setting — full of greenery, florals, and historic architecture (5/30)
