Carolyn + Elliot šŸ¤

From chasing a rainbow through Chicago for their engagement photos to standing beside them on their wedding day, photographing these two has been something incredibly special.

Their wedding was beautiful, but what stayed with me most was the way they moved through it: completely present. Family at the center. Friends gathered close. Taking the time to visit every table, hug every person, and truly experience the people who came to celebrate them.

Their day was centered around what a wedding is really about: marrying your person and celebrating alongside the people you love most.

Carolyn + Elliot, I absolutely adore you both. It was an honor to document this chapter of your story and an even bigger honor to witness the way you love your people. šŸ¤

I debated sharing this because I intentionally keep this space focused on the beautiful things I have the privilege of photographing. But being trusted with someone's memories also means understanding the responsibility that comes with them.

I have quietly become more selective over the years about what I share publicly, particularly when children are identifiable, even when I have permission to share.

Privacy and discretion matter to me. Not every beautiful photograph I create needs to become marketing material, and not every moment I'm invited into needs to become content.

Some memories can simply belong to you. šŸ¤

Thereā€™s something incredibly special about getting to photograph the people you love. šŸ¤

Being asked to capture my beautiful cousinā€™s wedding was such an honor. I got to spend the day surrounded by family while doing what I love, documenting all of the little moments and creating something theyā€™ll get to carry with them for years to come.

Gracie + Jacob, wishing you the most beautiful life together as you step into this new chapter as husband and wife. May it be full of laughter, adventure, deep love, and so many reasons to keep choosing each other over and over again.

And I have to give a little love to that dreamy summer light, because I donā€™t think Iā€™ll ever get tired of chasing it. āœØ

I don't think I'm done talking about Belvedere Estate & Gardens anytime soon. šŸ˜

Tucked away in Saugatuck, Michigan, this place genuinely feels like you've stepped into a European estate without ever leaving West Michigan. The architecture, the gardens, the terrace, the textures... there is something beautiful around every corner.

I recently had the opportunity to photograph here and could have wandered around with my camera all day. Itā€™s romantic and elevated without feeling overly polished, and there are SO many incredible spaces for photographs.

If you're planning a wedding at The Belvedere Estate, please know I would be very excited to come back. šŸ˜‚

About 2 years ago these two stepped in front of my camera for the first time, and Iā€™ve had the absolute pleasure of photographing them countless times since - and somewhere along the way, getting to call them friends.

Aaron + Emma are such treasured people in my life. Not only do they essentially photograph themselves at this point šŸ˜‚, theyā€™re fun-loving, wonderful humans who have become some of my biggest cheerleaders and such dear friends.
