2026 Wedding Season… my heart is FULL.
Okay, this is gonna be long, bear with me. 🥹
I’ve been sitting here looking back through this wedding season, and I keep thinking about how incredibly lucky I am that this is what I get to do.
These are just a few pictures from this year, a tiny glimpse into all the people, stories, emotions, and love I’ve had the privilege of capturing in 2026.
I get invited into some of the biggest, most emotional, most vulnerable moments of people’s lives. I get to witness the nervous hands before a ceremony, the deep breaths, the belly laughs, the tears nobody expected, the quiet looks across a crowded room, the families coming together, the friends who turn into family, and those tiny in-between moments that sometimes end up meaning more than the perfectly planned ones.
And I’ve learned something from every single wedding.
I’ve learned that there is no single way that love is supposed to look.
Love can be quiet and tender. It can be loud and ridiculous. It can be two people laughing so hard they can barely stand still for a picture. It can be forehead touches and shaky hands. It can be a room full of people screaming when you walk in. It can be traditional, completely unconventional, or something beautifully in between.
I’ve learned that the best photographs aren’t always the ones we planned.
Sometimes it’s the picture right after the “picture.” The laugh after I tell you we got the shot. The tear someone quickly wipes away. The way your partner looks at you when they think nobody else is paying attention.
Those are the moments that remind me why I picked up a camera in the first place.
To every couple who trusted me with their wedding in 2026, thank you. Truly.
Thank you for letting me into your families, your traditions, your inside jokes, your chaos, your happy tears, and your love stories. Thank you for trusting me not only to take beautiful photographs, but to preserve pieces of a day that went by entirely too fast.
And somehow… 2026 isn’t finished yet. 🥹🤍
There are still more dresses and suits waiting to be worn, more vows waiting to be spoken, more first dances, more families to photograph, more dance floors to destroy, and more love stories that I haven’t gotten to finish telling yet.
I cannot wait for every wedding still waiting for me on this year’s calendar.
And then I look ahead and realize that couples have already trusted me with weddings in 2027 and 2028, and that honestly gets me a little emotional.
Somewhere right now, couples whose weddings are still months or even years away are planning a day that I already know I’ll someday be driving home from with full memory cards and an even fuller heart.
That’s pretty incredible.
After more than a decade of photographing people, weddings still teach me things.
They remind me that families can be complicated and beautiful. That plans can change and the day can still be perfect. That rain doesn’t ruin photographs. That timelines matter, but moments matter more. That laughter photographs beautifully. That everyone deserves to see themselves reflected in wedding photography.
And that love has never needed to fit inside one particular box to be worthy of celebrating.
Most importantly, I’ve learned that I’m not photographing “a wedding.”
I’m photographing your people. Your history. Your once-in-a-lifetime little moments.
Someday these photographs will look different to you than they do today.
People will grow older. Families will change. Memories will soften around the edges. And suddenly a photograph of someone laughing at your reception won’t just be a beautiful picture anymore.
It’ll be a piece of someone you love.
That part of this job will never be lost on me.
So here’s to the beautiful chaos that has been 2026, to the weddings I still get to photograph before this year closes, and to every 2027 and 2028 couple who has already said, “We want you there.”
Thank you for trusting me with your love.
I promise I know just how much that means.
