After a federal court ruling in Wisconsin found that private possession of AI-generated child p**nography is protected under the First Amendment.

Hi family and friends! As some of you may recall, I recently shared a post about my decision to stop sharing identifiable photos of children online.

I’m excited to share that this conversation has led to an interview with News Channel 3 WWMT TV, where I talked about AI, children’s privacy, and my perspective as a photographer. We discussed how easily images can potentially be misused with AI and the bigger concerns surrounding technology moving faster than the laws meant to protect people.

The story will air today at 5 PM and 6 PM. You can tune into News Channel 3 or visit their website to watch the live broadcast.

Parents, guardians, and anyone interested in the conversation around AI and children’s privacy, I’d love for you to tune in!

As always, thank you for your continued love and support. Most importantly, thank you for your trust. 🤍

It’s getting spooky.

Recent court rulings surrounding AI-generated images of children have been difficult to process, and they’ve made me think more carefully about the responsibility photographers have when sharing images of the families who trust us. Because of that, I’ve made the decision to move toward faceless public sharing of children.

This does not change your galleries or the way I photograph your family. Your gallery will remain a complete collection of the moments we documented together. This change applies specifically to what I choose to share publicly as part of my portfolio and on social media.

Going forward, when children are included in anything I share publicly, I’ll prioritize images that preserve the feeling and story of the moment without making the child identifiable. Silhouettes, hands, little details, movement, the back of a head, and all the quiet moments that still tell the story beautifully. I’ve also begun going back through my existing website and social media presence to thoughtfully remove or replace images that show children’s faces. This will take some time, so I appreciate your patience as I work through that process.

It is deeply unsettling that this is something photographers and parents have to consider at all. Children deserve to have their innocence protected, and they deserve to grow up without photographs from their childhood being made available for purposes their families never intended.

Your privacy and safety come first. Thank you for your trust as I make this change.

Just a quick note to say I’ll be traveling over the next several days, and I’ll also be heading straight into a full wedding day upon my return.

I’m so grateful for everyone’s patience and grace as I’ve been catching up on galleries and responding to inquiries. If you’re still waiting on yours, you’re absolutely still within the timeline I’ve already shared and it will be delivered as promised.

Thank you all so much for your continued trust and kindness. I’m taking a little time to rest and reset so I can come back fully present and ready to serve my clients well.

I appreciate you all more than you know 🫂🤍

This was probably one of the most naturally fun sessions I’ve had! 🌈It’s always so evident when two people genuinely like being together and everything just flows without trying.

I feel so incredibly blessed to be reminded like this, almost daily, that I get trusted to capture people’s love stories in these real moments. Already so excited for the big day 🥹

Kirsten and Justin’s wedding felt like a film. These colors were almost too pretty to feel real. Truly, the day was intimate in every sense. Starting the warm season off perfectly, and I couldn’t be more grateful 🌿🤍

This season reminded me that motherhood does not look just one way. Every session carried a different story. Different ages, different dynamics, different kinds of love, different kinds of strength. Getting to photograph so many mothers, kids, and families reminded me that nobody is doing this perfectly. We are all learning as we go, loving the best we can, and trying to hold onto the moments that matter 🫂

To every mother I photographed this season, thank you for letting me witness your love exactly as it is. Honest, imperfect, tender, resilient, and real. These sessions ended up meaning far more to me than I ever expected.

Happy Mother’s Day to every mom out there 🤍🧸
