way back when i worked in marketing, my boss told me i was going to be training a new hire photographer in the fall. no big deal, i was game for that. when she told me i had to share a desk with that new photographer, though, i was pi**ed. flash forward 4 years later and now i send daily vlogs to that photographer, frequently ask her to go plant shopping, always ask her to get coffee with me, and schedule hangouts weeks in advance. she’s introduced me to some of my favorite coffee shops, brand new ways of seeing the world, and camera things i would’ve never known without her. 4 years ago i would’ve told you we were not going to be friends, yet im posting this today as she’s getting ready to move across the state and i am incredibly emo about it. that’s my bestie. thank god we shared a desk.
