This sunrise photo shoot highlights the Mt. Zion Orleans Community Church located in Great Cacapon, WV. Founded in 1874, Mt. Zion will celebrate a remarkable 150 years of serving the small community next year. The church boasts a congregation of roughly 65 members with the average attendance being 15 people.

In 2023, Mt. Zion disaffiliated with the United Methodist Conference and joined the Global Methodist Church conference. This move meant the small community came together to donate and raise enough funds to purchase the building & cemetery property back from UMC. An amazing feat for such a small community!
