Today is the 75th anniversary of the Auschwitz Birkenau liberation. My great grandmother was liberated on this day. When we would ask her when her birthday was she would always say “January 27th 1945”, and we would say but you were teenager when you were liberated. She would then say “that’s the day I was reborn”. Today is a day many people were reborn and got to have what they called there second chance at life. Thinking that before they were going to be killed at any minute. Today is a very special day for many and for those who didn’t have family members in the war, ALWAYS remember.

Leaving the world behind.
Hey all!
It’s been a busy couple of months. And with no complaints I’m happy it was. Sometimes the way I enjoy decompressing is just standing in front of my camera and just shooting for hours. Trying different tricks and learning what my face can and cannot do. For me photography is a way to get away from the real world and let my mind roam free and explore the world of photography. Inspiration is definitely a huge help and seeing the right image really pushes me to get up and shoot. I think we all need to find our own unique way of leaving the real world behind and to let our minds just roam.

This Mordechai, he runs a prodution company call . I got to meet him this week at a photography meetup that I hosted this week,and where I gave a seminar on headshot photography. Which is something I never thought I’d be doing so soon. He was such an awesome subject to photograph and we came out with this amazing shot.
