I’m going to be a real person for a minute—not a photographer.
I’ve focused on couples sessions more this year than I ever have before, and honestly, there’s a reason for that.
I left an unhealthy relationship last year. And since then, I’ve had the privilege of witnessing something I didn’t realize I was missing for so long: real love. Real connection. Passion. Intimacy. The little looks, the laughter, the way two people choose each other.
I’ve photographed couples who are completely wrapped up in one another, couples who have been together for decades, couples who are still in that “can’t keep our hands off each other” stage—and every session has shown me a different kind of beautiful.
And maybe that’s why these sessions have become so meaningful to me.
I get to capture for other people the kind of love I once wished I had.
There’s something incredibly healing about turning what I lacked into something beautiful for someone else.
So yes, I’ll keep photographing the families, the seniors, the milestones and all the beautiful chaos…
But I think I’ll keep making space for couples, too.
Because love deserves to be documented.
The passion deserves to be remembered.
And sometimes, capturing someone else’s love reminds you just how much you deserve it, too. ❤️
