A little note about sharing images of you and or your children 🤍

You may have seen some photographers recently sharing that they will no longer be posting images of children due to the recent conversations and legal cases surrounding AI and the misuse of children’s images.

I want to clarify how I’ll be handling things moving forward.

I am not stopping the posting of images of children. I love sharing the beautiful moments we create together, and showcasing my work is an important part of my business.

At the time of booking, my contract includes permission for me to use images created during your session for professional samples, displays, website pages, advertising, exhibitions, contests, and other promotional purposes. This has always been included in my booking process.

However, I also understand that the conversations surrounding AI and the misuse of images may make some parents more cautious about having their child’s images shared publicly.

Because of that, I will be adding a specific question to my required parent questionnaire asking for confirmation regarding the sharing of images of children.

If you do not want your child’s images shared, simply let me know. With written consent from you that you do not wish for images to be posted, I will always respect that decision.

And if you have images of your children that I have shared in the past that you would now prefer not to have on my social media feeds, please reach out to me directly. I will absolutely honor your request and remove them.

My goal is simply to continue doing what I love while making sure parents feel heard, informed, and comfortable with how their family’s images are shared.

We are making this post with a couple points of interest!

1. Visibility! We’d love opportunity to bring in more vendors & shoppers! If you’re an artisan of sorts (crafts, arts, culinary) we would love to invite you to apply for any or all dates as a vendor. Message us directly for the application.

Additionally if you have a source of complimentary advertising of this event, please reach out. Add us to your newsletters! We have flyers that we can distribute and working on yard signs.

2. We’re looking at hosting specific events during each Saturdays event to bring in foot traffic and ultimately support our vendors. If you have any ideas that you’d like to bring to us please message. Ideas that we have in mind are local choirs, bands, and really hoping to find a business who would be available to host a wreath making event. Art wars, cookie exchanges etc.

Please help spread the word and mark this on your calendars!
