It was one of those wedding days where everything was absolutely perfect… until it was time for pictures…just my luck, right?

The rain decided that was its moment, 10 minutes into portraits!

So we pivoted, packed up the plan, and took the party to the studio instead. And honestly? It worked so well, no one got wet and we got beautiful memories!

The tears flowed, the rain flowed, and so did the love. There was so much emotion, so much laughter, and so many little moments that could never have been planned anyway.

I guess sometimes the best photos come from Plan B.

And sometimes Plan B is just moving the whole dang thing inside and making it work!
Ash and Trey you two absolutely rocked the day and I can’t wait for more milestones because I already miss you guys!

I think I’m going to start writing down my thoughts about wedding days while I’m still on the high of them!
It’s always strange to me how I can walk into a room full of complete strangers and, by the time I leave, feel like I know them.

I know the way he looks at her when she isn’t paying attention.
I know which friend will make her laugh when she’s nervous.
I know how her mom will look at her when she walks down the aisle.
I know the stories behind the people standing beside them.
I know the little moments that almost nobody else noticed.

And somehow, for one day, I get invited into all of it.

That’s the part of this job I’ll never take for granted.

I don’t just get to photograph a wedding day.
I get to witness people becoming family, old stories being made new, and two people choosing each other in front of everyone they love.
Then the wedding ends. Everyone goes home. The music stops. And I’m left with thousands of photographs and the feeling that I just spent an entire day inside someone else’s life.

Maybe that’s the magic of it.

You arrive as a stranger, spend a day witnessing a love story that isn’t yours, and leave carrying a little piece of it with you.

Kimmy and Trevor gave me the honor to celebrate and capture their wedding for them.
I have known Kim since their older sister got engaged and we have gone through 3 weddings together. I have grown to ADORE their friends and family and it's been a blessing to work with them!!

Some weddings are full of grand moments...

This one was full of giggles, as well.

The kind that sneak into the speeches, show up during portraits, and somehow never stop all day.
They spent most of their wedding day laughing.
At each other, with each other, and occasionally because neither could keep a straight face for more than three seconds.

A perfect day, if you ask me.
