Over the past year at Cleveland State University, I’ve dedicated my time to bringing a project I’ve envisioned since the start of my college career to life: CSU-TV Ohio. What began as a simple idea has grown into a full student-run newscast, built from the ground up with a small, passionate team committed to telling the stories of our campus community and engaging students in a way that can be challenging at a commuter school.
Being part of this organization has allowed me to continue developing my multicamera production skills while growing alongside an incredible team. Building something from scratch has pushed me creatively, taught me more than I ever expected, and strengthened the passion for storytelling that drives both my academic work and my journey with BXG Productions. This experience has given me new perspectives and skills that I carry into every project I produce.
Last week, the first episode of CSU-TV Ohio went live. On this channel, we keep the CSU community updated on what’s happening around campus—bringing entertainment, spotlighting student organizations and achievements, and covering all things Viking sports. From campus events to behind-the-scenes looks at student life, our goal is to make CSU-TV the go-to source for everything Cleveland State.
CSU-TV will run bi-weekly, with new episodes uploaded every other Friday.
