There is something about photographing a brand new baby that slows the whole world down. No posing tricks, no distractions, just this tiny human doing exactly what newborns do best: curling up, stretching out, and existing in the most perfect, unhurried way 🥰

Solo newborn sessions hold a kind of quiet magic that I never get tired of. Every little detail: the curl of a hand, the flutter of a lip, the weight of a sleeping body, tells the whole story of who this person is on day one. These are the frames families will reach for decades from now. And I am so honored to be the one who gets to make them!

I'm going to be real with you for a second... I have wrangled my own kids for photos more than once, and I will not pretend it always went smoothly. There's typically a whole situation involving a bribe, a meltdown, and what I can only describe as a standoff between the stubbornest people you'll ever meet.

So when you tell me you're nervous about how your kids are going to behave, or whether your husband is going to make that face the whole time, I am not just nodding politely. I genuinely get it from both sides of the camera!

And I still think it's worth it every single time. Because somehow, even on the chaotic days, we get the shot. The real one. The one you actually want on your wall 😊

Mini sessions explained simply, because I know 'mini' can mean a lot of different things depending on who you're talking to 📷 Here's how mine work:

The date and location are set by me, so there's no back-and-forth on logistics. You pick a time slot that fits your schedule. Sessions are shorter than a full session, which is reflected in the price. You'll receive a gallery to choose your images from, with additional images available to add on. And there's a print store built right into your gallery if you want to order something for the wall.

Think of it like a highlight reel… efficient, fun, and beautiful without taking up your whole afternoon. Starting at $200 for 5 digital images. Link in bio to see what's available this summer!

We were so happy with our photo shoot. She was amazing with our kids and DOG, she picked the most gorgeous place for us to take our pictures. Photo shoot was affordable and we couldn’t be happier with how they turned out.

Sleepy baby photos CAN happen! A little insider tip:

Give your new addition a bath earlier in the morning so they stay awake a little bit longer than usual. Follow that up with keeping them awake and stimulated for one to two hours prior to your session. If it's possible, try to time their final feeding before photos to end about 10-15 minutes prior to the session so their tummy is full and they fall into a milk coma for the duration of photo taking 📷

What if I told you one of Milwaukee’s most unique photo locations is tucked just far enough away from the Riverwalk crowds, waiting quietly like a well-kept secret? If you’ve ever thought, “We’ve already done the grassy park photos… now what?” this one’s for you. Trestle Park is our family’s go-to hidden gem from our own session a few years back, and those images are still framed in our home today. That’s how special this place is!
