As I wandered around downtown last night, I was so excited to see these beautiful stained glass windows glowing in the dark.

I usually only see them in the daylight, so seeing the colors lit from within was such a beautiful surprise.

I don’t know who had the church lights on at 9pm, but thank you. You gave me a lovely little moment to capture.

It’s exciting to see more new businesses coming to Depot Street!

I noticed last night that Southern Belle Bridal is going to open in the Summer Place building. I am sure they will have some beautiful displays in the window!

Sleeves & Screens will be celebrating their grand opening on September 12th. They are located near the Mason Gallery on Depot.

I love seeing new businesses opening and more activity coming to downtown Greeneville. Be sure to stop by, welcome them to the neighborhood, and support local!

The dogs and I had such a lovely walk last night after the storm. It was peaceful, the stars were starting to come out, and it was a wonderful 73 degrees. Perfect walking weather! Here are a few photos I took.

I met a few new people along the way and saw a friendly face too, which made the evening even nicer.

I’m also very happy to see lows in the 60s all week. That means the dogs and I can get back to enjoying our morning walks without melting in the heat!

Farm Friday!

Yesterday, I headed out to the Camp Creek area on a mission to photograph cornfields and hay bales, and I found just what I was looking for! Folks were out mowing their lawns, and the smell of freshly cut grass made the drive even better.

It was a little hot, so I didn’t stay out quite as long as I would have liked, but I came home with a lovely selection to share. I hope you enjoy this little glimpse of our beautiful countryside!

On Wednesday, September 2, 2026, Vallie Insurance Agency hosted its 10th annual First Responder and Veterans Appreciation Luncheon, treating veterans and first responders to a free meal of BBQ chicken, corn on the cob, a roll, and dessert.

While I was there, several first responders stopped by to pick up to-go boxes to bring back to their stations so their fellow responders could enjoy lunch, too.

Thank you to our veterans and first responders for your service, sacrifices, and dedication to our community. Thank you to Vallie Insurance for continuing this thoughtful tradition and recognizing the people who do so much for others!
