Some of the cameras, from a climbing expedition 85 years ago, still had film in them. Conservators are looking to see if any images can be recovered.

We are grateful to Annie Tiberio for providing this video of the Judy Cummings memorial show hung by some of our Base Camp Photo community at Baystate Franklin Medical Center in Greenfield. Judy is dearly missed, and we hope seeing these images - mostly her own favorites - will keep her alive in all our hearts.

Judy Cummings, West Deerfield, has moved on ahead today. Judy was a long-time Floyd Gallery Exhibitor and Learning Center participant. Judy loved nature and capturing its beauty. She was a founding member of our DSLR Seminar back in 2009, thriving successfully today. I recall fond memories of dinners in her and Bill's home. Horses. Walks. Laughter. Portuguese Fish Chowder.

An exhibit gallery will be posted online in the coming days for anyone that can't make it to St. Pete!

Open to any photographer living in the US, we received nearly 250 entries for “Being Seen”. Our juror, Gregory Heisler, narrowed it down to 32 works by 26 artists from 13 states. Opening Friday evening, 5-8pm – See you then!

About the Juror:
It has been said that photographer and educator Gregory Heisler possesses “the eye of an artist, the mind of a scientist and the heart of a journalist.” Heisler is perhaps best known for his more than 70 cover portraits for Time magazine, but his iconic portraits and innovative visual essays have graced the covers and pages of many other magazines, including Life, Esquire, Fortune, GQ, Geo, Sports Illustrated, ESPN and The New York Times Magazine.

Pleased to share that Ginny Newton is exhibiting a photograph at the Fitchburg Art Museum in a juried show that runs January 12 - February 7, 2022. There is an opening reception on Saturday, January 15th, 1-3 pm. See the attached flyer for details!
