As the new year begins, I want to take some time to reintroduce myself to all the new friends who have joined the adventure!

Hi, hello, I’m Ambs and I’m the human behind the lens. My pronouns are she/they, I’m a Capricorn, and a fun fact about me is I got certified as a scuba diver when I was 13 years old. I’m so grateful to have grown up in a family that always wanted to capture every little moment growing up, and I owe a lot to my family for my love for photography. I absolutely love adventures, and being able to have combined my love for travel and my love for photography this past year has really helped me step out of my comfort zone and meet new and see new places. When I’m not behind the camera or editing my heart out, you can find me either catching flights for fun or working with kids (kindergarten- 5th graders).

My vision when I created Things Ambs Creates was to be able to document all the art I created so I could see my own progress… little did I know it was going to turn into something bigger than even I could’ve imagined. Within the past few years I’ve created a safe space for people to be themselves and be able to share stories of all different varieties.

Last year, I was in constant fight or flight mode. I began to relapse with eating disorder behaviors and I found myself unable to be get out of bed most days. It got to a point where I was debating on shutting down Things Ambs Creates all together. I’m so grateful for my treatment team, family, friends, and colleagues at school for not only being there for me in my personal life but also supporting my crazy dreams of being a travel photographer.

My hope in 2026 is to keep providing a space where people feel safe to express themselves and give a chance for you to tell YOUR story. I want to be able to bring your visions to life and make the most out of every shoot possible. Everybody deserves to be celebrated and to feel seen.
