Yesterday was the most flawless celebration for Lexi and Frank. The rain held off for the entire day and the love of friends and family was so present. Every detail was beautifully thought out and the venue was set up to perfection.

It was the best way to kick off my weddings coming back from maternity leave!

It’s time to catch up, friends!! 🤍

We welcomed our third sweet baby to the world at the end of April!! Baby Shepard has already stolen our hearts and we don’t remember what it was like before he joined our wild crew!✨

We have been soaking in all of the fresh newborn snuggles and time as a family of five. This time is so fleeting (which is why photos are SO important!!) and it goes by quicker than I want! With this being our third baby, you realize that even in the hard moments, it doesn’t last forever and it makes you miss the moment you’re currently in before it’s even over.

With all of that being said- I am now back to business! I kick off this week with two sessions and a stunning wedding this weekend! I’m so excited to get you all back in front of my camera.

I have responded to all inquiries and messages! Make sure to check spam if you don’t see a response. If you don’t see one, reach out again! I have some galleries going out this week as well!

‼️A BIG business update is that I will be taking on less sunset sessions going forward. I have so many beautiful weddings this year taking up a major chunk of my time! And with 3 kiddos now- I want to be the best mommy and spend as much time with them as I can!!

My books are open through the end of the summer and I’ll be scheduling for fall before we know it! I have LIMITED spots left for the summer sunset sessions. If you are wanting one of those spots- now is the time to schedule!

Mr + Mrs Schott

Josie and Logan tied the knot this past Saturday! The day was absolutely perfect with amazing weather and the best people surrounding them as they became one! I have loved getting to know these two and their story. I couldn't be any happier for these two as they begin their next chapter as husband and wife.

Huge shoutout to Carly + Lauren for shooting this wedding for me while I am in the newborn bubble! I was so sad to miss out on this day but I couldn't have left it in better hands.

Studio Maternity Sessions will always hold a special place in my heart! I love getting to create these moments in this space so much.

There's something about getting to witness first time parents about to welcome their little baby into the world. It's a time that carries so much excitement, anxiousness, love, and anticipation. I'm so so thankful that people put their trust in me to bottle up their emotions during this time.

I had so many stunning sessions this weekend and I can't wait to share more! I know these two will have the CUTEST little baby! 🤍

Most days I’m editing during nap time.

But every day, I’m so thankful.

Thankful for clients who trust me with their biggest moments.
I get to document love, milestones, tiny details you never want to forget — and I get to call the most incredible people my clients.

I'm so thankful for work that fills my creative cup.

And thankful that this job lets me build something beautiful while still being fully present with my own babies. This business has given me more than I ever imagined… not just creatively, but personally. It lets me do what I love while still being present for the little hands that call me mom.

So thank you for being here- your constant support means more than you know, not just to me but our whole family.

One of my favorite parts of a newborn session is getting to hear about your birth story and those first nights with a newborn. Everyone's story is so different but one thing remains the same: moms are super humans.

My hope in studio newborn sessions is that you can come in and take a deep breath. Know that I have everything you could need from wardrobe to props and someone that can confidently get great pictures of your little sweetie while you relax and take it all in.

These sessions are such a sweet and vulnerable time in postpartum and I don't take it lightly that you choose me to bottle it all up in pictures that will last a lifetime.

Alison and Kyle had such a stunning January wedding. The day was full of emotion, a beautiful church ceremony, and the most perfect details. They even had some rain showers for good luck!

The whole wedding party was such champs during the chilly pictures and were a blast to work with.

I'm so excited for what the future holds for Ali and Kyle!

It’s time I do a little life update on here!

I’ve been a little (okay a lot) MIA over the summer/ busy season. I have been wanting to share why but couldn’t quite come up with the right words. Sooo many amazing women and mamas follow my page so I specifically wanted to make this post in hopes of if anyone is going through something similar, you’re not alone.

Trigger warning: pregnancy loss & prental depression🌈🤍

This summer after months of trying, we found out that we were pregnant with our third baby. We were SO excited and were daydreaming about what our life as a family of 5 would soon look like.

We told our family and closest friends that we were expecting a sweet new addition, had doctor’s appointments, blood draws, all of the things. We soon found out that I was losing the pregnancy.

As a woman, there is something so “shameful” about hearing those words. Although why? Our bodies created a life. A life that was just too beautiful for this world. It’s something that’s looked at as “taboo” to talk about. But I soon found out that so many more people go through this heartbreak than you even know. I want more people to talk about it so others don’t feel so alone!

All of this happened at the beginning of my mega busy time with weddings and sessions. I compartmentalized all of my feelings and almost didn’t allow myself to sit in my emotions and the realness of what had happened. The week of my miscarriage I shot two pregnancy announcements and three newborn sessions along with many others. That’s an emotion I didn’t think about having to deal with as a family photographer. You just show up for your clients and escape your reality for an hour. I LOVE that I get to capture these moments for my amazing clients and wouldn’t have it any other way, but I didn’t think about that pill I’d have to swallow!

Fast forward a month later and we found out that we were expecting again with our rainbow baby. The best, most amazing news in a time of darkness and uncertainty.

Although so much happiness and joy was placed in our lives again, no one prepares you for the pregnancy that comes after a loss. The CONSTANT anxiety, the retaking of pregnancy tests over and over and over, the wanting to be excited but not letting yourself get there because you know what the future could hold. You’re just trying to get through to the next appointentment while holding your breath just praying that you will hear a heartbeat.

It was and has been a time where I have felt like my head is constantly under water, just trying to get through each day for my two (wild) toddlers and husband. It has been HARD. And that’s okay.

So friends, that’s where I’ve been. It hasn’t been pretty and I KNOW I’ve been MIA. I grinded out my BUSIEST season I’ve ever had thanks to the most amazing clients and now friends! I didn’t even have to show up on socials to fill out my schedule and for that, you’ll never know how beyond grateful I am.

If you’ve read this far, thank you. Thank you for listening to my raw and real life emotions. And thank you for your continued support. It means the absolute world to me and my family.

So in short, Baby Merritt will be making their arrival in the spring and we couldn’t be more in love with our rainbow baby already🥲

I just want you to know that if you have been in a similar situation with loss, you’re not alone in your feelings. And ALL feelings are valid. Please allow yourself the space and time to feel the things. Sending you virtual hugs 🤍🌈
