In honor of 🌟Senior Sunday🌟, I'm sharing some favorites of this beautiful girl! It's hard to believe it's been a year since we took these photos and that she is now in her freshman year of college!! Her sweet mama was one of my first photography clients when this sweet girl was around 5/6 years old, so to be asked to photograph her senior photos just meant the world to me! I say it all of the time, but my heart will truly never be able to express what it means to me to be trusted with your memories. ❤

I'm definitely not ready for summer to be over yet, but I wanted to get some info out now for Fall sessions. Due to a high number of weddings this fall (ahh! so excited and grateful!), I will only be taking a VERY LIMITED number of fall sessions. With editing time on top of family commitments, I have to limit those sessions this year to ensure the best possible experience for everyone- my family included. If you have any interest in a fall session this year, please reach out to me as soon as possible to book. Thank you all for choosing me- I'm forever grateful and can't wait to work with you!

Being a photographer has its' high and low moments. Within the last year, two photos that I have taken have been used as obituary photos. I'm honored that these families picked my photos to represent their loved ones, but gosh, it sure makes my heart hurt knowing that while I only met them briefly, they are no longer here, and that I captured a moment that has now become a cherished memory for their families.

Let this be your sign to take the photos. Schedule the session with a photographer. Get in the photo even if you don't love how you look right now or that day. A photo lasts a lifetime, and one day, it will be all our loved ones have of us.

Hug your people extra tight, and please keep my clients and their families in your prayers.

Grace & Michael's engagement session was a DREAM! They are so laid back and so fun to be around- it was like spending the evening with friends I've known for years! They compliment each other in every way, and I know their love story is one for the ages! I can't wait for their wedding day later this year!!

Moments after meeting them, I could literally feel how much they loved each other. They made my job super easy, and I cannot wait for their wedding later this year!! ❤

It’s been a while since I’ve done one of these, so which one, color or black and white?! I personally love them both for different reasons, and this beautiful couple got both- but I love seeing which one resonates with people. ❤️🖤

I think one of the hardest parts of owning a business, while also being a Mama and a fire wife, is finding balance.

The balance between work and home.

The balance between being productive and meeting deadlines, all while being a solo parent for days on end.

The balance between chasing your dreams, while maintaining your home, appointments, activities, school work, and family time.

And sometimes, the hardest part is not feeling guilty when you finally take a break.

So to all of the wonderful people who chose to work with me..thank you! Thank you for seeing me as a person, for knowing my heart behind my work, and for trusting me with your memories. 🫶🏻

Dear Photographer,

On the days you start to question yourself and your worth, tell yourself this:

The photos you hesitated to post...
The session you overanalyzed and spent hours editing...
The work you thought wasn't good enough...

Could be someone's favorite image.
You see the flaws because you created it.
Your clients see the memories because they lived it.

Always keep going. Someone somewhere is saving up to work with you. And someone somewhere will have once in a lifetime moments captured all because you didn't give up. ❤
