Shaggy the Vault Dweller

Norville "Shaggy" Rogers was never wanted to be a Vault Dweller and he definitely never wanted to leave the Vault.

But, life has a tendency to have other places.

Notes:

I love Fallout and Scooby-Do, so time for ANOTHER Mashup.

Minifig body is from and I've ordered more minifig bodies from them to hopefully get the whole gang into the Vault Suits. I'm happy to have such high quality custom minifig bodies available.

I'm really enjoying the TV show, love the characters, and story. Its a great addition to the Fallout Games.

I'm not completely happy with this pic as I have unwanted reflections that I'm struggling to get rid of.

My studio space is very small and very portable, so I do struggle with consistency.

Send In The Clowns...

Part One...

Notes:

LEGO has made a lot of clowns over the years. Most have been released via the themes of City, Town, or 3n1 sets. But, others have been released in licensed themes including Batman and One Piece.

I'm thinking I may take a few more pics of various Clowns in my collections.

We'll see.

The Zotaxian scout scanned the surface of Holox. There was something out here, though it wasn't another Zotaxian.

Someone or something had triggered the surface sensors which had been placed centuries before when the Zotaxians had initially landed on the very inhospitable Holox surface.

There was nothing here now, but...there had been something.

The Zotaxian would be returning to the surface outpost shortly in hopes of finding the intruder on the remote sensors.

Notes:

I have no clue if Insectoids counts as Classic Space, Space, or just some random LEGO theme.

I don't have a clue where I actually picked this minifig up from.

I definitely didn't have any Insectoids sets. I think the minifig is interesting. I do keep this particular minifig with my 'Classic Space' collection.

I'm not sure why I picked this minifig to shoot beyond the fact that what I wanted to shoot isn't possible...yet.

Garazeb Orrelios, a Hero of the Rebellion, now a pilot and flight instructor for the New Republic.

While the T-65 X-Wing wasn't his favorite fighter to fly due to his size, though it was still better than the really compact A-Wing in which he could barely squeeze into.

He still hadn't forgiven Hera for wedging him into the A-Wing cockpit all those years ago.

He preferred to fly the new E-Wing and he was keen to try the upcoming T-70 X-Wing.

As long as he was flying, life was alright.

Notes:

This is the 'Zeb' custom minifig from . It's listed as the 'Furry Flyer'.

I really like the custom print job and is a great addition to my growing number of pilots.

My rate of posting photos had definitely died down as I'm pretty sure my Camera Body is dying. It's a Sony A6000 that I picked up about 10 or so years ago. I'm hoping to limp it along through the New Year when I'll definitely upgrade to a Full Frame Body.

Pilot Recruit Takeel stands next to Veteran Pilot (and Squadron XO) Villar at a small rebel waystation hidden on Tatooine.

Soon the Takeel would be transferred to Firestorm's Squadrons main base for training in the venerable X-Wing.

Rumors kept circulating that the Rebel Alliance wanted to base a squadron on Tatooine. Firestorm Squadron, known for their extensive training and operations in intense heat, were the most likely ones to be assigned to Tatooine, if a base was setup.

Pilot Recruit Takeel really hoped that he would be able to return to Tatooine as a Rebel Pilot to help free his home planet from the Empire.

The perpetually exhausted Villar just wanted a long nap with no one shooting at him, for at least a week.

Notes:

Takeel (Left) uses a custom printed minifig head from a custom minifig created by and . the original custom minifig is incredible. I may need to see if I can get an extra head/hair so I can have Takeel the Bar Fly and Takeel the Pilot.

Tas Villar (Right) is a custom minifig I build using the head from the Harry Potter Centaur Minifigs. I'm not sure what Race he will be from.

The custom printed arms are from . I have four sets of the arms so far and just ordered more.

When you have to fly a mission at 1700, but the arcade is empty at 1630, you skip the pre-flight mission to finally beat 'Soontir Fel's' high score.

He had lorded his high score over everyone for weeks. But, now I had a chance to beat him. I wasn't really concerned about the upcoming mission anyways. Missing one mission wouldn't be too bad.

Besides, who had ever heard of Endor?

Why would the Rebels attack this isolated System?

Plus, there were dozens of Star Destroyers here.

No one would mission on Tie Interceptor.

Plus, the chance to shut 'Soontir Fel' up, priceless.

Notes:

I finished the LEGO Arcade Machine ( #40805) today. I really enjoyed the build and was really happy to have the minifig scale arcade machine included. I modified the original build with a modified tile to make it easier to remove for photos.

I was going to do a standard minifig (I.E. ), or my new X-Wing Pilot, but I decided to use my Tie Pilot. I don't give the guys enough love.

I'm doing a photo challenge for myself. This is Day 129 out of 365.

Tas Villar just stared. Mentally, he was screaming on the inside.

Flight Captain Mara Denori continued going over the features of the two fighters that were parked on the tarmac in front of them.

He had spent nearly his entire career with the Rebel Alliance in the T-65 X-Wing and the T-47 Air Speeder.

But now, the Alliance Fighter Command wanted to assign the RZ-1 A-wings to Firestorm Squadron.

Flight Captain Denori had been sent to Radja Prime to help prep the squadron for the first two A-Wings.

As one of the most senior pilots, Tas Villar had been chosen to cross-train into the A-Wing and to lead the A-Wing Flight within the squadron.

He was VERY Unhappy.

Notes:

I also need to do custom printed A-Wing pilot arms.

A while ago I had originally planned on doing a series of Pics and MOCs based on the Rogue Squadron Books by , but life happened.

My Firestorm Squadron idea will definitely borrow elements form the Rogue Squadron Books... though there will be more T-47 Patrol Speeders (or V-Wing Air Speeders).

It was time.

Tas Villar of Firestorm Squadron, now seconded to Red Squadron headed to his X-Wing. Beeker, his astromech was already aboard his venerable fighter.

He'd been aboard this Mon Cal Cruiser for almost two weeks after he, and another squadron mate, were pulled from their base on Radja Prime.

He didn't really think about the upcoming Battle, he knew the plan, his his fighter, and he knew the enemy.

He would also be glad to get off this Cruiser. He hated the high humidity levels the Mon Cal crews kept their ships at.

It was too wet. He yearned to return to the desert.

At least his fighter's climate control was set to his preferences.

He picked up the pace.

He was assigned to launch in ten minutes.

Notes:

This is a custom minifig build using the head from the Harry Potter Centaur Minifigs. I'm not sure what Race he will be from.

The custom printed arms are from . I have four sets of the arms so far and just ordered more.

Once I get my next order in, I'll be adding some Blue Squadron minifigs into Firestorm Squadron.

The reference of the high humidity on Mal Cal ships comes from I Jedi by . There may be other references to the high humidity, but I know about it from his writing.

The ship had crashed on the edge of the Dune Sea. It wasn't really close to any of the Tatooine settlements, at least none that most people knew about.

The ship had made a fairly 'soft' crash in the dunes, though it was unlikely to ever fly again.

Garret's head pounded as he staggered towards the aft secondary hatch. He had tried the main hatch, but something outside blocked that hatch from opening.

He wasn't sure what was going on. Wasn't sure what had happened. There was no one else on the ship. The only clue to what happened to the rest of the crew was that the two small escape pods were missing.

He wasn't even sure what planet he had crashed on. They were supposed to be on a run from Naboo to Bespin, though he vaguely recalls someone, maybe Ryll, talking about a detour.

He punched the hatch release and waited.

The back hatch opened and Garret staggered down the short ramp, only to suddenly crawl backwards back towards the ship.

Before him were a dozen creatures, jawas? He wasn't sure. They looked at him and the ship.

What did they want?

Garret screamed and collapsed.

Notes:

I get "Queen & Bohemian Rapsody" vibes.

This pic is part of me building my 'mythos' for my upcoming series of MOC,s Utinni Ridge.

I'm doing a photo challenge for myself. This is Day 126 out of 365.

Mos Eisley Cantina

Be the first to
Takeel paced the Cantina holding his slurm.

Slurm reminded him of his childhood and the warm gooey substance weirdly kept him cool in the oppressive heat of Tatooine. It had some really weird properties.

He paced the cantina, clearing the path as the other patrons rushed to get away from the near necrotic smell that was the hallmark of slurm.

He was about to take the last swing when he paused. Something wasn't right.

An old man in robes and a boy dressed almost all in white had just entered the Cantina. Obviously it was their first time as they tried to bring their droids in.

Takeel stared for a moment longer and then quickly headed towards the relative safety of an alcove.

The boy was going to cause problems.

Some s**t was definitely going to go down.

Notes:

Takeel is an awesome custom minifig from and . I've become a big fan of their work. has done another bang-up print job.

Takeel comes with the option of two different 'slurm' drinks, I paid extra for both. He also comes with a blaster, but it didn't fit with the narrative, so I didn't include it.

The area away from Tekeel is blurry due to me using a very tight focus. Can you figure out how many minifigs are actually in the pic, besides Tekeel?

I think this is the fourth of six custom minifigs I've picked up from the pair.

I'm doing a photo challenge for myself. This is Day 118 out of 365.

"I'm sorry Threepo, but I can't do that."

H1NT stared at the rather famous protocol droid standing in front of him.

The DL-17 blaster didn't waver.

"I'm sorry Threepo, there will be no discussion. I intend to take your place."

H1NT raised the blaster a tad higher, pointing directly at the stammering protocol droid's head.

"Fame is wasted on the meek" started H1NT as he carefully applied pressure to the blaster's trigger.

Notes:

H1NT is an awesome custom minifig from and . I've become a big fan of their work.

I think this is the fourth of six custom minifigs I've picked up from the pair.

The blaster is from and its part of their 'perfect caliber' collection.

I didn't intend to make H1NT to go this direction with the narrative, but the idea popped in my head.

The question is, who rescued Threepo?

Padme?
R2-D2?
Bail Antilles?
Luke Skywalker?
Princess Leia?
Han Solo?
Rey?
Poe Dameron?

I'm doing a photo challenge for myself. This is Day 115 out of 365.

'Tell me a Story'.

I typically have a short narrative come to mind when I'm working on a pic idea. Today, I have nothing. What do you think this NIkto's story is?

Notes:

This is essentially the setup I was going to use for my "Splinter of a Mind's Eye" themed pic of Minifig Leia. I'm still working on that custom minifig.

I created this Nikto Force User on a whim and put it in there. The light behind the Nikto is making things too white. I'll fix that in a future pic.

I'm doing a photo challenge for myself. This is Day 113 out of 365.
