What if I told you… you don’t have to know how to pose OR what you want to wear for your maternity shoot?

Like… at all.

You don’t need to practice poses in the mirror. You don’t need to know what to do with your hands. You don’t need to spend hours scrolling Pinterest trying to figure out what photographs well.

That’s literally my job.

I’ll help you choose something to wear that makes you feel beautiful, guide you through every pose, fix the little details, and tell you exactly what to do the entire time.

And no, you do NOT have to be “photogenic.”

You just have to show up. Pregnant belly, nerves, swollen feet and all.

My job is to take care of the rest and create images that make you look back and think, “Okay… I really did look THAT good pregnant.”

Because maternity photos aren’t about knowing how to model.

They’re about documenting you in a season that goes by way faster than it feels like it will.

Come as you are. I got you.

There’s something so sacred about those first few days in the hospital.

For just a little while, the world feels like it stops.

It’s just you, your baby, and your partner tucked away in this tiny little bubble. No real routine yet. No rushing from one thing to the next. No one really knows this little person yet except for you.

You get to just be with them.

To stare at their face for way too long. Learn every little sound they make. Hold them on your chest and realize that this is your baby and somehow life is completely different now.

And then, almost overnight, life starts moving again.

You pack up that hospital room and take them home. Family and friends meet them. People start asking to hold them. There are appointments and visitors and errands and responsibilities. Before you know it, you’re sharing this little person who, just days ago, felt like they existed only in this tiny world with you.

And it all happens so fast.

Soon they’ll have relationships and memories and an entire life outside of you. The world gets more and more pieces of them as they grow.

But those first few days?

Before the world knew them, before everyone else loved them, before life started moving a million miles an hour again…

They were just yours.

You, your baby, your partner, and that quiet little hospital room.

There’s something about that tiny window of time that feels almost impossible to explain until you’ve lived it.

It’s such a short chapter.

But such a sacred one. 🤍

I think one of my favorite parts of this job is getting to serve moms in whatever season of motherhood they’re in.

Because every season looks SO different.

Maybe you’re pregnant and counting down the days until you finally get to meet the little person who’s been kicking you in the ribs for months.

Maybe you’re freshly postpartum, running on no sleep, living in leggings, and honestly can’t remember the last time you washed your hair.

Maybe your baby is suddenly sitting up, crawling, or turning ONE and you’re sitting there wondering how the heck that happened so fast.

Or maybe your babies aren’t really babies anymore, and you’re realizing you’re always the one taking the pictures… which means you’re barely in any of them.

That’s the stuff I want to photograph.

Not just the perfectly styled, everyone-looking-at-the-camera moments.

I want the baby grabbing your face. The toddler who refuses to cooperate. The little hands wrapped around your neck. The way they look at you. The way YOU look at them.

You don’t have to wait until you lose the baby weight.
You don’t need new outfits.
Your kids don’t need to be perfectly behaved.
And you definitely don’t need to have motherhood figured out.

Just come as you are, in the season you’re in.

Because one day you’re going to miss this version of them.

And probably this version of you, too.

I’ve been feeling a shift in the way I want to photograph cake smashes.

For years, cake smash sessions have been all about the big setups elaborate themes, tons of props, balloons, backdrops, decorations… all the things.

And while they’re adorable, I’ve realized I want to bring these sessions back to what actually matters:

Your baby.

The little toes covered in icing.
The belly laughs.
The confused first taste of cake.
The messy hands.
The tiny expressions and personality that make your baby them at this exact age.

So I’m slowly moving away from highly styled, heavily decorated cake smashes and into a much more pure, timeless, baby-focused style.

Think simple backgrounds, beautiful light, minimal details, a gorgeous cake and your sweet baby being the entire focus of the image.

Because when you look back at these photos 10, 20, or 30 years from now, I don’t want the first thing you notice to be the theme.

I want you to see your baby.

Their personality. Their expressions. Their tiny features. The way they were right before they stepped out of babyhood and into toddlerhood.

Less stuff. Less distraction. More connection.

And I am SO excited for this new direction.

Simple. Pure. Timeless. Baby focused.

Things I’ll tell you as a newborn photographer that most won’t… 🤍

• Your baby doesn’t have to “behave” for beautiful photos.

• Sometimes we spend 45 minutes soothing your baby and only 15 minutes taking photos and that’s completely normal.

• Your baby is in charge of the session, not the clock.

• If your baby cries, needs to eat three times, or wants to be held… that’s okay. We work around them, not against them.

• Those tiny flaky hands, milk bumps, peeling feet, and little scratches? They’re part of being a newborn. They don’t make your baby any less perfect.

• You don’t need to lose the “baby weight” before getting in the photos. Years from now, your children won’t see the things you criticize about yourself they’ll just see their mom holding them. And you’ll never regret watching yourself grow with your kids in these memories.

• Your baby will never be this tiny again. Not next month. Not next year. These sleepy stretches, curled-up poses, and tiny details disappear so much faster than you think.

• The goal isn’t perfect photos.

It’s preserving a season of your life you’ll never get back.

And that’s something worth remembering.

My goal during every newborn session is to create a calm, stress-free experience so you can simply soak in this season while I preserve it for you. Whether you’re dreaming of timeless baby portraits or heartfelt family images, we’ll create photographs that you’ll treasure long after the newborn stage has passed.

If you’re expecting, it’s never too early to reserve your due date. We schedule your session once your little one arrives, so there’s no pressure if baby decides to make an early, or late, appearance.

I’d be honored to help tell the beginning of your baby’s story. 🤍

Not every new parent wants a traditional newborn session… and that’s completely okay.

If posed baby portraits with wraps, props, and beanbags aren’t really your style, a baby-focused family session might be exactly what you’re looking for.

These sessions are centered around your newest little love while capturing the connection between your whole family.

You still get beautiful images of your baby, but the focus is on the love surrounding them instead of just posed portraits.

There isn’t a “right” way to document this season. Whether you choose a traditional newborn session or a baby-focused family session, the goal is the same..to preserve these moments before they become memories.

Which style feels more like you?

There is something so incredibly tender about welcoming a baby girl into the world.
The tiny lashes. The soft little stretches. The way she already has everyone wrapped around her finger without even trying.

These early days pass in such a blur ..the sleepless nights, the newborn snuggles, the tiny noises you’ll one day miss more than words can explain. That’s why preserving these moments matters so much.

My newborn sessions are designed to be calm, baby-led, and completely stress-free for new parents. From wraps and props to soft neutral styling, every detail is thoughtfully prepared so you can simply soak in this season while I document it for you.

Because one day, she won’t fit perfectly in your arms anymore… but these photographs will always take you back to the feeling.

Now booking newborn sessions across the Gulf Coast.
The best time to reserve your due date is during your second trimester.
