WHEW it's been a busy month "off" 😅 I've been busy getting back on my school schedule, celebrating birthdays, travel, and cleaning up some business backend before shooting starts up again!! Here's a quick summary of some of the changes you might care about:
📅 The final quarter of 2026 is locked in! No more events will be added to my calendar, and I believe I'm also fully booked for signature portraits. Christmas card minis are still in the works for November! More details to come- aiming to get signups open in early October.
✈ Similarly, I am already looking ahead to 2027! In the works already: a spring visit to Texas and potentially one to Minnesota. Get me your trial dates early if you want me to come shoot!
🎥 Highlight reels will only be offered at select events moving forward. I want to continue delivering the best work I can, and the nature of certain events limits my ability to create work I'm proud of. You can always check here or on my website to see if video will be offered at a particular event.
📲 In better news, reels no longer need to be prepaid! I can finally host them in the same event galleries as photos, so you can view and check out as normal. This will also enable me to sell any individual clips I take, not just full reels, so you can mix, match, and edit them yourself (if you like).
🎉 And thanks to my hosting platform's changes, I can afford to host galleries for longer! Galleries will now be available for 4 months after an event (previously 60 days). Nationals & specialty shows will be available for 6 months. This will only apply to events moving forward, not galleries from this summer. I've restructured some of my email reminders to support this change.
🔗 Lastly, I've created a policies page on my website with some more details about structure, pricing, privacy, and all the other little questions that tend to pop up. It's not the most exciting read, but I figured it's good practice to make things as transparent as possible as my business continues to grow. While I'm "taking time off" and getting back into the routine of the day job, I'll be queuing up some summer portraits that got overshadowed by all the events!! Starting with a throwback all the way to May's toller tulips 🌷I need to carve out more time for the tulip fest in 2027, it was too perfect!!
