Ten years. 🖤📸
Today, BlaqPearl Photography celebrates 10 YEARS IN BUSINESS, and when I really sit and think about that… WOW.
Ten years of weddings.
Ten years of families.
Ten years of graduates, babies, birthdays, engagements, branding sessions, events, models, milestones and memories.
Ten years of walking into moments that were incredibly important to someone else and being trusted to preserve them.
There have been seasons when I photographed everything in sight and seasons when I intentionally slowed down. There have been new studios, new ideas, new equipment, lessons, mistakes, growth, long nights editing, early mornings shooting and countless moments when I wondered, “What’s next?”
But through every version of BlaqPearl, one thing has remained the same:
I love telling people’s stories.
Photography has never just been about taking a pretty picture for me. It is about the details. The connection. The emotion. The things you may not realize are important until years later when the photograph is all you have left of that moment.
And ten years later, I still get excited about that.
To every person who has booked me, referred me, shared my work, modeled for one of my crazy ideas, trusted me with your wedding day, brought your family back year after year or simply cheered BlaqPearl on from the sidelines…
THANK YOU.
You helped build this.
And as I enter a new season personally and professionally, I can’t help but feel like Year 10 isn’t an ending at all.
It feels like the beginning of BlaqPearl 2.0.
More stories.
More creativity.
More connection.
More intention.
