Today we raise awareness and donate!

I have big news! With your help, we CAN cure Angelman syndrome. Please join me in my 2021 Cure Angelman Now (CAN) campaign by sharing my message, making a donation, or both.

Research funded by FAST identified a way to turn on a gene that is normally turned off in the brain. FAST took this discovery and started its own biotechnology company to move this technology from the laboratory into human clinical trials. Trials were initiated in 2020 and early preliminary results suggest this therapeutic may effectively treat the symptoms of Angelman syndrome.

I have more exciting news - this approach is just one of the ways FAST is leading the efforts to develop effective treatments for Angelman syndrome. FAST funds multiple programs aimed at developing therapeutics to treat the root cause of Angelman syndrome as well as therapeutics that may treat certain symptoms. In fact, FAST is the largest non-governmental funder of Angelman specific research and relies on grassroots donors like me and you to support these groundbreaking programs.

I look forward to sharing amazing updates and progress with you throughout the year and I thank you for assisting me to Cure Angelman Now.

To my Queenie: Be a strong woman, not because the world needs more of them but because you will need it growing up. Remember the world will not be fair to you, but you can make it fair for yourself. Always bring a smile to others with your silly ways and cute voices you make. Protect those who need it, but always love those who didn’t get it growing up. Be big, be gorgeous always, but also be yourself. Never change your good things to please others. Love you baby girl.

Back in March right before Covid, this station was fully packed with workers from all walks of life. Today im the only soul who stands on this platform waiting for my train.
