What a week it has been! 😅

I picked up a rental car today since the transmission decided it was officially done with my vehicle. On my way home, I figured I deserved a little nature therapy, so I stopped at one of my favorite places to photograph hummingbirds.

Now, I won’t tell you how I’m apparently too short for the rental vehicle…or how, while trying to get out, I pretty much fell right out of it and into the passenger-side back door of the car next to me. 😂 I’m sure none of you would get a good laugh out of that!

Thankfully, both the camera and I survived the graceful exit, and I was able to spend a little time enjoying and photographing some of the beauty in the gardens.

After the week I’ve had, a little time behind the camera was exactly what I needed. ❤️📷🌸

Coming back from Wisconsin Dells this past June, I stopped at another Wildlife Refuge and captured some Black Terns. They like to hover over an area and then dive down to get either a minnow or an insect.

If you ever see one it the wild, check them out sometime as they are pretty cool to watch.

🍁 This fall adventure is going to look a little different.

Instead of heading west to the Rockies, I'm pointing the car north and exploring Canada with my camera.

There will be fall colors, wildlife, backroads, plenty of “I wonder what's down THAT road?” moments…and hopefully one very cooperative moose. 😂

My very first **Tina Faye Photography Kids Wildlife Coloring Contest** has officially reached the voting stage! I am excited to see who wins.

I received **5 little fox entries** from some very creative young artists, and I absolutely love seeing how each child made my little fox kits their own. ❤️

Now comes the fun part...

Starting tomorrow morning, all five coloring contest entries will be displayed on my website. Take a look through our young artists' creations, choose your favorite, and cast your vote!

Happy National Park Week!

Since beginning my photography journey, I've been lucky enough to visit and photograph several of our incredible National Parks. Some of images in this video go all the way back to the beginning of that journey, while others are from more recent adventures.

Looking through them reminds me not only how much my photography has grown, but also of just how many unforgettable places, wildlife encounters, early mornings, long drives, and unexpected moments I've experienced along the way. Every moment of this adventure certainly brought me closer to healing my soul.

There are still plenty of parks left to explore, plenty of roads left to travel, and hopefully a whole lot more wildlife waiting around the next bend.

I want to say thank you to those that stopped at my booth yesterday over at Carpenter Arts Festival. It was a great show and I loved seeing so many familiar faces. Sales were great and loved talking about my photos even though that wind was brutal.

Just one more summer show to go so make plans to come shop at The Art on the Kinni on September 7th. Alot of vendors will be around to choose from but hope to see you there.

I got a little later start today after spending the morning working on the coloring contest for next weekend’s show. Once I finished, I grabbed the camera and headed out for one of my favorite drives to see what I could find.

It started off pretty quiet, but I did catch a Great Blue Heron gulping down a good-sized bullhead!

On my way home through Lake City, I spotted an eagle perched high in a tree along the lake. Of course, I had to pull over! 🦅📸

After a few photos, he launched from the tree, circled around, and came back to a lower branch facing right at me. Then he did it AGAIN! Both times I managed to catch him coming in for the landing. Apparently, he knew I had the camera ready and decided to put on a little show. 😂

Just up the road, I found the eagle couple in the last photo. I missed them taking off—which was a bit of a bummer—but after an afternoon like this, I certainly can’t complain.

Here are just a few of the MANY photos I took of this handsome guy.

Sometimes a quiet drive turns into exactly the kind of adventure I was hoping for.
