Today's rainy day calls for a throwback to the cool, foggy, romantic days in Edinburgh with Sophie & Alex.

Strolling through this historic city, visiting iconic locations, and documenting this couple's quiet, tender bond was just...magic ✨

First we headed out to for an early morning bite & snuggle, getting into the swing of things by just allowing Sophie & Alex to chat quietly and share a few sweet (treat) moments. From there we braved the steep steps that are so bountiful in Edinburgh, finally stopping at Makars' Court for some dizzyingly fun & playful shots!

It's been a minute since I've posted, and I'm trying to let that be okay.

Everything going on in the world has felt a little heavy lately, and social media doesn't seem to be a place of joy, escape, or healthy connection in all of this.

But it's kind of my "job" to stay connected on here! I just haven't felt able to honestly. So I'm doing my best and hopping on to share a few things I did this past week that have actually given me a sense of joy, escape, and healthy connection despite everything going on (with bonus pretty pictures featured in the background 🤷🏻‍♀️).

So I will keep on reminding myself it's okay if I'm not posting every day. If I'm not "engaging" enough. That it's okay to slow down and take time. And yes, we creatives have expectations here on good ol' social media haha, so it's something that I will keep reminding myself of. 🤍

If you feel like you're carrying the burden of so much negativity...take a break. Hug a loved one. Laugh with a friend. Create just because. Let yourself have some space to just be. ✨

Literally felt like the coolest photographer riding in the back seat of this mustang for shots earlier in the day (check out that final BTS clip!!) This set is right after they tied the knot and rode away with the cans rattling! It was so sweet seeing the whole little town of Lambertville cheer them on and celebrate with them!

Marriage is a wild ride, and I'm so thankful you've stuck by my side through it. Thank you for everything you do, the way you love me, the way you show up even when it's hard, and all the little things in between.

I get choked up as a wedding photographer all the time because when I see my couples entering into this new season together, I always reflect back on getting to do that with you. November 7th 2021 will always be one of the best days of my life. We had such a beautiful day being with each other and all of our family & friends. Reka & Joe's dreamy summer sorbet colored wedding was to die for! This dynamic duo took the heat wave in stride and absolutely crushed it with an amazingly special day ☀️

I literally could not stop smiling ALL DAY. Reka & Joe were the sweetest, most giggly, fun loving couple! All smiles all the time, and no wonder! Seriously, getting to spend a full day with an insanely talented Broadway drumming groom, an incredibly kind bride who doubles as a cancer-fighting scientist, their family full of funny and crazy kids and loved ones flying in from all over the world...it truly makes me remember why I love being a part of wedding days and capturing every moment!

I could genuinely write a novel on how great of a day this was, but I digress! You'll just have to catch the full album in the coming weeks to get a feel for the true beauty this wedding held 😉
