🇺🇸 The Declaration of Independence almost read differently.

“What is the greatest sentence ever written?”

That question from Stephen Colbert’s interview with Walter Isaacson immediately reminded me of one of my favorite moments from 1776, where John Adams and Thomas Jefferson passionately debate whether the Declaration should say “unalienable” or “inalienable.”

I couldn’t resist combining the interview with the musical scene into one edit. It’s a fun reminder that even history’s most famous words were once the subject of spirited debate.

Paolo Garbanzo manages to eat an apple while juggling the trick that eluded him for when he was learning to juggle.

Then the audience changes the rules.

“Now do it with the onion!” 🧅😂

The Parental Paradox | A Ted Lasso Reflection

No parent is perfect.

This beautiful poem reminds us that even the people who love us most will inevitably pass along some of their own pain. We’re all trying to give our children a better life than we had, yet somewhere along the way we sometimes pass down the wrong lesson without ever intending to.

I want to be clear that this clip is not a criticism of my own mother. I love her dearly, and she did the very best she could with the life and experiences she was given.

If anything, this poem reminds me to have compassion—for our parents, for ourselves, and for the generations that follow us.

This scene from Ted Lasso has always stayed with me because it speaks to healing, forgiveness, and the understanding that we’re all doing the best we can while carrying the burdens left to us by those who came before.

Sometimes a single sentence has the power to stop you in your tracks

When I heard Hugh Jackman share this thought during the interview onMythical Kitchen Last Meals, it stayed with me. It’s a beautiful reminder to appreciate the time we have, the people around us, and the moments that make up this incredible pause we call life

I wanted to share the short clip because it genuinely resonated with me, but I also want to give full Credit where it’s due.

Paul Norfleet’s Incredible Take on “Land Down Under”

One of my favorite things about live music is hearing a familiar song transformed into something completely new.

Hampton Roads musician Paul Norfleet has become known for his unique acoustic interpretation of Men at Work’s “Land Down Under.” Instead of the upbeat original, Paul delivers a slow-burning, bluesy, almost Bob Marley-inspired version that pulls everyone into the story.

It’s one of those performances where conversations stop, heads turn, and the room starts listening.
