The Camera Collective, Hampton, VA (2026)

I’m on my way to Hampton Virginia for the photo walk! And a big thank you to my friend Gary for the entire camera set up you see, he gave it all to me as an early birthday present 🥰📸✨

I just posted a poll on Threads, I'm curious to know where Photographers like to edit the most! Click the link to participate, my answer is A! https://www.threads.com/share/Gc-JkGr79/

Photographers and picture takers, one important step before Sunday 💖 Please fill out the signup sheet at the link in my bio before you come to the Downtown Hampton Photo Walk. That sheet saves your spot and gives me permission to share and display your artwork from the walk. I can only feature artwork from Photographers who are on the sheet.

Meet at 4:15 PM at the Hampton Carousel, 602 Settlers Landing Road. If you aren't in VA, you can choose a time that is best for you ✨

For this Wow Wednesday, please show me the photo or photos from this week that you are most proud of! I unlocked a childhood memory while eating out this week, so here's mine 📸✨ photo

Fresh air, and a beautiful view at the beach 🌊🛥️✨

Photographers and picture takers around the world, walk with us from wherever you are 📸 In one week, Sunday, October 25, my local Photographers and I will be walking Downtown Hampton, and I want you shooting right along with us. Here is what we will be photographing, so find your version of it near you. Boats at the marina, so look for a marina, a harbor, or any water with boats on it. A bridge that overlooks water and the beautiful architecture of a college campus, so find a bridge with a water view and buildings worth framing. And old town streets with restaurants and landmarks and that older feel, so wander your most historic street and shoot what has stood the test of time. Take your photos that same day and share them with me here so we can see the whole world through each other's eyes! 📸

Everything I am building started with one simple wish. I wanted other Photographers to talk to, people who understand the joy of it, the hard days, and that feeling when a photo finally comes together. That is why I pass on what I have learned along the way, the real lessons. And to the beginners, I want to help you start on a strong foundation, the kind that builds you up step by step into a solid Photographer someday. You do not have to figure this out alone. And something exciting is on the way, The Camera Collective membership is coming soon, a place for us to learn, grow, and shoot together. Pixentra HQ, my virtual Photography mentor, launches November 3 with a 7 day free trial and guidance on every photo you share. My first ebook, What Makes a Great Photograph?, launches that same day on Amazon Kindle for $9.99, and it will help Photographers because it breaks down what makes a photograph great in plain steps you can use on your very next shoot. Pull up a chair, there is room for you here 💛📸✨

Three more reasons Pixentra HQ is going to change how you grow 📸 A fresh creative challenge every week to keep your camera in your hands. See Like This reframes your photos so you learn to spot leading lines, balance, and space in your own work. And the Signature Portfolio Audit reviews your best frames honestly and gives you your strongest theme and your next step. Pixentra HQ launches November 3 with a 7 day free trial, then monthly or yearly. Your next level is closer than you think 💖

One day. That is all each of these blooms gets, and they still show up this bold.

This is a Mexican petunia, also called Ruellia simplex. Each purple flower lasts just one day, then a fresh one opens to take its place. I love that for Photography. Shoot what is in front of you today, because tomorrow the scene will already be new. 📸 ⭐ 🪻
