Hearing couples talk about each other and telling their story of how they met is my favorite part of booking a new session. Seriously, I am sitting there giggling kicking my feet when I get to hear a new love story! It’s like reading a book for the first time, meeting new characters that you get to connect with except this isn’t fiction. These are real people and real moments. EEEK!!

After the first call with K & B, I was jumping up and down because of how amazing these two are, how sweet and in love they are. Hearing about how they met, how they have grown in love, and how their ideas for their session just aligned so well with me and what I strive to document. I will never be over this session.

I am so thankful for each and every one of my clients that trust me to document your vision. Abbi has always made me feel free to be as creative as possible and it if I feel it always shows in her gallery. I have loved every moment of capturing her and Dawson’s love and I am so happy they are finally married!! I hope to share more from their wedding day soon, but now to show off Abbi’s bridals. 🥹

Besides almost dying in a tornado and severe thunderstorms, this session was nothing short of perfection. 🤣 We had originally planned to do these outside but the weather had other plans. Thankfully we were able to go to The Goodwin Manor and it was breathtaking and a perfect fit for Abbi!!

Screaming CONGRATULATIONS to one of my sweetest friends and her hubby!! They welcomed their adorable baby girl yesterday!!

I traveled up to Ponca to document Lexi + Ethan’s pregnancy and we had the best time exploring the Buffalo and catching up!! Lexi, I am so excited for you and Ethan, soak it all in!!

Documentary and editorial are words that have been being thrown around a lot lately in the photography world, so I thought I could give you guys a little insight on what this means!

Documentary: focuses on real, genuine moments. It is all about capturing moments as they happen. Instead of directing, photographers let the story unfold naturally, reading body language and predicting the moments to come. This is how we are able to document the glances across the room, the in between moments, authentic connections.

Editorial: creating and carefully crafting moments. This involves more posing, styling, and directing clients to portray a specific mood or story. Instead of letting everything happen, photographers step in and help guide clients—adjusting angles, expressions, lighting.

I find myself to be a mix of both of these styles. Most wedding days I find myself being a fly on the wall and letting everything unfold but during some parts of the day, guiding my couples is necessary. For sessions, most people have never been in front of a camera so guiding them into meaningful prompts that allow them to be themselves is helpful for clients + photographers alike!

This session was a mix of both! Some shots I guided them and gave them specific directions so we could get some of the shots Amariah envisioned, other moments were spontaneous and just let them be themselves!!

Some sessions just stick with you, and this was one of them. These two are the sweetest souls, and there’s no doubt in my mind they’re going to be incredible parents. The love, the excitement, the way that Fabiola & David look at each other — this was such a special season of their life to document. Sessions like this remind me why I love what I do.

I had to share some of these sweet moments from the Anderson's ceremony. My favorite wedding days are always the ones where you can tell that everyone is there for the couple. Everyone who came to celebrate these two were so happy and excited, you can just feel the love in the air. ❤

I am feeling so grateful for a slow morning opening gifts with Keith and the pups. I hope you all are having a wonderful Christmas celebrating with your family’s.

It has been such a fun year filled with documenting so many sweet moments. I am so thankful for each and every one of you!! I have two more galleries to finish up for this year and then we are on to 2025, it’s so crazy!
