It’s almost recital season! And yes, I am taking dance portrait sessions! Ever since my daughter started dancing, I have fallen in love with these sessions. The dancers know how to work it in front of the camera, and the photos are true art for me. This isn’t just a one click, one pose per costume shoot. I take several photos in each costume because OPTIONS matter. My favorite, might not be your favorite, and that’s ok! You have the option to purchase one, or all of your images after seeing them.

For the last *almost* twelve years I have been in this business, I have saved every message just like this one. Sometimes it is easy to forget that a small business often means just one person. These messages, comments, shares, mean the world to a person who is creating for you. My heart skips a beat every single time someone tells me they love my work. It NEVER gets old. I may be confident in my work and ability, but that doesn’t mean I don’t suffer from imposter syndrome now and then. Putting your art out there for the world to see is such a vulnerable feeling.
