Went back in my lightroom app and said what haven't I posted on Instagram yet.
How about Eric. sacredhearttattoo.hanover.pa
Apparently we share a similar look. I Had a woman ask me about when I tattooed her a one day when I was walking through a thrift store. Anyone who knows me well, knows I have no memory for people's names and faces. While I was quietly panicking in my head I tattooed some poor soul while I was blacked out or on one at some point years ago. The other half of my brain went in to Columbo mode and figured out she was thought I was eric.
As Eric is a solid dude and handsome like me I took it as a compliment. I obviously took all the credit for her fantastic tattoo and told her about my shop sacredhearttattoo.hanover.pa and told her to stop in any time. 😉
Go give him a follow and keep up with everything he has going on.

Just a idiot standing in the rain, with his
Fuji Film XH-2 in his hand. Trying to hear what this False Parasols has to say.
I don't understand what most people find important anymore. I just want to be free. The False Parasols doesn't share its wisdom with people. It's only a friend that like to be seen. So even in the rain, we stop we look and we listen. This is the 3rd flush in this little spot in our yard. Judging by the amount of spores dropped we saw today it won't be the last. 4 generations of visiting this fungi on its time line. Not quite a summer for us. Never the less. The clock is ticking on all of us. These few minutes were possibly years to this Parasols patch.
Hope they enjoyed our time together.

So tired of seeing people feeling like they have to treat everything as content and marketing.

"The green reed which bends in the wind is stronger than the mighty oak which breaks in a storm." - Confucius

This is a quote that has echoed in my head for decades. It’s a thing I say to myself constantly. Naturally, I take photos of broken branches or when a tree has found a new path. Mostly just for me. Not because it's a great photo. Just a little visual reminder.

Further down the road, I have learned to hear this concept more and more in my practice. Sometimes more subtle, sometimes in reference not to self, but to the world.

Another one that has come to me in recent years is from a talk from 2010, originally spoken by Thich Nhat Hanh, made into a book called... You Are Here:
"We have to continue to learn. We have to be open. And we have to be ready to release our knowledge in order to come to a higher understanding of reality." - Thich Nhat Hanh

This is what went through my mind walking through the woods with Danyelle on some mountain in Tennessee.
Best photo ever? No way.

But for those 2-3 seconds, I didn't have 15 different thoughts going through my head. I was present in that moment with those quotes in my mind. I pushed the shutter 2 times and felt free.
That is why I carry my camera. This is why I paint. Nothing else is real.

Also, RIP to Dr. Didg. I was listening to him on my drive this morning. Got to see him somewhere around 15 times give or take. (Memories are kinda foggy from '95-2005). He was the king of the loop, and by himself with a pedal and a couple didgeridoos, he could make more sound and better music in his set than most 5-piece bands could.

Anyway, no one reads this; it's all to train AI anyway.
