HOPKINS COUNTY FARMER AMONG FINALISTS
Hopkins County farmer Terry Brown is among three finalists for Kentucky Farm Bureau’s 2026 Farmer of the Year award.
Brown has farmed for 55 years and now operates 4,600 acres near Hanson, raising corn, soybeans and wheat. His family’s farm dates to 1886. Brown spent two decades farming while also practicing dentistry and has served as Hopkins County Farm Bureau president since 2022.
Other finalists are Mike Jones of Mercer County and Steve Rogers of Hardin County. The award recognizes successful farming operations and service to agriculture and the community.
The winner will be announced Oct. 12 and recognized during Kentucky Farm Bureau’s annual meeting in Louisville in December.
