I carefully gather and arrange all of the beautiful little pieces that make your day yours: your invitations, shoes, perfume, jewelry, flowers, and all the details you spent so much time choosing. I found myself getting a little teary taking these photos.

It was so special seeing Michaela’s daughters stand beside her and knowing that their stories led them to this moment together 🤍

I think that’s one of the most beautiful parts of a wedding day: it isn’t just about photos of two people saying “I do.” It’s about two families becoming one, the people you love most standing beside you, and getting to celebrate the love you’ve built together.

Being trusted to capture those moments is something I never take for granted. Years from now, I want you and your children and your grand children to look back at your photographs and feel the love and joy in those images.

I spent today editing a gallery and thinking about how important it is that my couples have someone who cares about their photos as much as they do.

Who you hire as your photographer matters. 🤍

There are a few things I always have in place when I photograph a wedding:

**A second shooter.**
Backup, no matter what. Even if I twisted my ankle walking backward while taking your photos, you’ve got someone ready to step in. They’re your first-line backup—and often bring bonus photos and perspectives to your gallery, too.

**Dual card slots.**
I never shoot a wedding without making sure every photo I take is saved to two memory cards in my camera. Your memories deserve that extra layer of protection.

**A client-centered mindset.**
My clients come first. The photos that tell the story of your day matter, but so does making sure you actually *get to live it.*

I want you to feel confident in front of my camera, so I’ll guide you through what to do and where to be—but I’ll also make sure you’re not spending your entire wedding day taking photos. You deserve to get back to the party, too. 🥂
