Such a fun and memorable day exploring NYC and creating fashion editorials throughout the city. We moved from location to location, and creating as we went!

The energy in New York was unreal. At one point, a car stopped and offered to turn its headlights on for us while we were shooting. People passing by were cheering us on and hyping up the team. It felt like the whole city became part of the shoot.

Definitely one of those days I’ll always remember. Looking back at these photographs makes me even more excited to return to New York and create more fashion work, especially with NYFW coming up soon.

More moments from Eternal 🌅

One thing I love about shooting during golden hour is mixing soft natural light with outdoor flash. Instead of letting the flash overpower the scene, I use it to shape the subject while keeping the warmth and color of the sunset.

A quick photography tip: Meter for the ambient light first. Expose for the sky and background so you can preserve those beautiful golden highlights. I usually slightly underexpose the ambient light, then bring in my flash and adjust the power until my subject sits naturally within the scene.

Think of it as two exposures working together.

Shutter speed controls more of your ambient light.
Aperture and ISO help establish your overall exposure.
Flash power and distance control how much light falls on your subject.

Maybe becoming a fashion photographer is a little delusional, but I think you have to be a little delusional to chase something you truly love. I don’t see myself ever quitting.

Fashion photography has always had a hold on me. Photographers like Paolo Roversi, Tyler Mitchell, Annie Lebowitz, Irwin Blumenfield, Richard Avedon and Irving Penn showed me how fashion can become more than clothing it can become art, movement, emotion, and history.

Shooting backstage with Ariadna Valtierra reminded me why I love this world so much.

The makeup artists creating every detail. The designers watching their work come to life. The models carrying their vision. The music filling the room. The energy of the crowd. The atmosphere. The chaos backstage. Then, for a few moments, everything comes together on the runway.

And I get to capture it.

I’m still learning, still dreaming, and still chasing those epic photographs.

Maybe the dream is a little delusional? Good.

I believe in tenacity, not luck. 💪📸

Golden hour never lasts long. Neither do the quiet places between concrete and traffic.

We made these portraits in the shadow of machines near roads and power lines, and even there, nature found a way to soften everything for just a few minutes. Keep the golden hour serious going?

A reminder that while we continue building the future, we can’t forget the ground beneath our feet. Technology can move us forward, but the earth is what carries us.
