This is the second photo dump of my Colorado vacation. My neighbors went with me and I told them I wanted to see a moose more than anything! My sweet neighbor, Patricia kept pointing out moose along the way for me to see. Her husband, Tommy, was patiently driving for me. Sweet of them, right??!! Well the only problem with that was, the moose she was pointing out were on signs, or metal yard ornaments...well you get the idea! I was in the back seat, when all at once I saw the big moose walking on the side of the mountain. I started yelling at the top of my lungs, "Moose, Moose, real moose! STOP!! Tommy's reflexes are awesome! I got the pictures!! The Elk parade coming off the mountain, crossing the road right in front of the traffic was great too. You tell me who really owns the mountains!! I'm so blessed just to be a visitor.

My first real photo dump since setting up my Facebook photography webpage. These photos were taken last week on my Colorado vacation. In 2020, Granby, Colorado, my favorite place to vacation, suffered the East Troublesome fire which devastated 193,812 acres. When I arrived in Granby, I wasn't prepared for what I would see. I cried at the sight of the burnt trees and I immediately wondered if the wildlife that I loved so much had survived. But, as I got over the shock at the changes, I realized there was still so much beauty there. We drove up into the Rocky Mountain National Park and found the wildlife. They had moved to areas where the vegetation was still there. The fire left behind a different kind of beauty. Those of you who know me, know I love texture, colors, and shapes. I hope I have captured some of that beauty for you to enjoy.
