Walking through a professional photography lab… seeing exactly how your artwork is made

This is one of my favorite parts of what I do.

Seeing the process up close.

How the materials are handled.
How the prints are finished.
How the final piece comes together.

Because what you hang on your wall…isn’t just an image.

It’s something that has to last.
Something that has to feel right every time you walk past it.

That’s why I care so much about where it comes from.

Because once it leaves here —
It’s going home with you.

If you’ve ever wondered what your artwork actually looks like beyond a screen, send me a message and I’ll show you. 🤍

Horse girl math: “I’ll just stop by the barn for 30 minutes”

30 minutes = 3 hours

One full life update with your horse
Reorganizing something that didn’t need reorganizing
Watching him eat like it’s a personality trait
Standing there for no reason

And somehow—

You still leave thinking, “I didn’t get anything done.”

Except you did.

You just didn’t measure it in productivity.
You measured it in… staying a little longer.

Be honest—what’s your “quick barn trip” actually turn into? 😂

That moment in a dressage test when everything finally lines up

It doesn’t happen by accident.

The balance.
The push from behind.
The feeling that everything is moving in the same direction at the same time.

You can see it in a single stride, but it’s built over hours, days, months of work that most people never see.

That’s what I love about moments like this.

They look effortless.

But they’re anything but. 🐴

If her horse was the reason she made it through high school...

She showed up every day.
School. Practice. Life.

And then the barn.
Where everything slowed down.

There were hard days.
The kind no one else really saw.

But he was there.

Steady.
Quiet.
Uncomplicated.

Now she's packing for college.
A new chapter.

But that connection?
It doesn't stay behind.

And the image we created? That's the part she takes with her.

Liberty session expectations vs reality:

Expectation:
Majestic. Flowing. Effortless.

Reality:
“Why is he running that direction?”
“Where did that energy come from?”
“Was that a victory lap or a protest?”

And then—
Out of nowhere—
That one moment.

The one that looks like you planned it.

That’s the one that ends up on your wall.

Chaos first. Art second. Every time. 🐴

Not every kind of service looks the same

This weekend isn't just about getting an extra day off of work.

It’s about remembering the people who gave something we can’t measure in a simple way. The kind of sacrifice that quietly allows the rest of us to keep living our everyday lives.

For some, that means time with family.
For others, it means space to reflect.

And for many of us in this world, it means being able to show up to the barn, to our animals, to the routines that bring us a sense of normal.

That kind of freedom isn’t accidental.

It’s carried.

Remembered.

And respected.

However you spend today, take a moment to pause and remember.

If you've ever rearranged your entire day just to spend 30 quiet minutes at the barn...

You move meetings.
You answer emails from your truck.
You still show up.

Because those quiet minutes?
They matter more than most people understand.

You're not doing too much.
You're choosing what matters.

You belong here.

The one thing they both agree on

They don’t do everything the same.

Different personalities.
Different ways of showing up.
Different ideas about just about everything.

But this?
This is the common ground.

Same horse.
Same quiet moments.
Same way their hands settle without thinking.

You don’t have to explain it.
It’s just understood.

That kind of connection...shared, simple, and a little bit unspoken...ends up meaning more than people expect.

If your horse is the center of your world (and your family’s), it’s worth capturing. 🌸🐴
