I used black & white to capture that Era.

Warbird Thunder Airshows is an aerial demonstration team featuring two vintage North American SNJ Texan aircraft Piloted by veterans Chris "CT" Thomas and Mike "Buick" Eberhardt.

One is 1942 SNJ-2 It was built in 1942 and is a very early model, only 61 of these variants were ever made and fewer than 11 are flying in the world today.

The 2nd one is 1943 SNJ-3 and is 80 years old.

Both aircraft are powered by 600-horsepower supercharged Pratt & Whitney R-1340 engines with a 9’ Hamilton-Standard propellers.

The bigger plane is The 1944 Douglas C-47B Skytrain "Second Chance" is a rare, unmodified WWII-era warbird currently operated by the American Airpower Museum in Farmingdale, New York. Built in April 1944, the aircraft features a 95-foot wingspan, cruises at about 150mph, and is one of the few C-47Bs still flying in its original stock military configuration.

The Douglas C-47 Skytrain (including the "B" variant) was the primary military transport aircraft used during the June 6, 1944, D-Day invasion. Over 1,000 of these planes dropped 13,000+ U.S. paratroopers into Normandy and towed gliders behind enemy lines. Dwight D. Eisenhower called the C-47 one of the most vital weapons that won the war.

Restoration: Acquired by the American Airpower Museum in 2000, it was restored and painted to carry the D-Day markings of the 439th Troop Carrier Group.
