Photography, for me, has never been just about taking pictures—it has always been about preserving moments people can feel long after they’ve passed.
I’m the photographer behind JAZ Photography, based in Connecticut, and my work focuses on weddings, quinceañeras, and real-life storytelling. I specialize in capturing moments as they naturally unfold—raw, emotional, and honest—without forcing people to pose their lives into something they’re not.
Over the years, I’ve learned that the most powerful images rarely come from perfect conditions. They come from dim church lights, crowded dance floors, emotional embraces, and quiet in-between moments most people miss. That’s where I do my best work.
I work in environments where lighting is unpredictable and moments happen fast. Whether it’s a ceremony in a dark church or a high-energy reception, I focus on staying present, anticipating emotion, and using light creatively to tell the story as it actually felt—not just how it looked.
My approach is simple: I don’t chase perfection, I chase truth. The laughter between poses, the tears during vows, the pride in a parent’s eyes, the energy on the dance floor—these are the details that matter most to my clients years later.
I use professional photo and cinema tools to adapt to any environment, but the equipment is never the story. The story is always the people in front of the camera.
