christmas came a little early this year... everyone, meet the new studio! new studio, meet everyone! 👋 i am beyond excited to share that as of today, this beautiful baby is where my good friend Photography Stiles and i will be hanging our photography hats. so much more to come, but for now...we move! cheers to new beginnings!

here's the thing about gratitude:

it's not about the things that to happen to you, or waiting for something good to happen. it's about finding the good in the things that are already happening all around you--looking for them, noticing them, and appreciating them.

it's looking at the storm, and admiring the shape the lightning takes. it's seeing the rainbow instead of the clouds.

it's your house, with a million things on the fix-it list, keeping you warm and sheltered. it's the smell of hot coffee on a cold morning when the heat's gone out. it's the wisp of hair across your baby's face after an epic tantrum.

it's choosing to see the good things in your life, and accept the bad things without letting them steal your peace and energy.

today i am grateful for sitting around in jammies on a lazy morning, watching the parade in the middle of this messy room, in the middle of this messy life, while worries big and small await my attention. and i for one am thankful for the storm.
