The classic wedding look is making a beautiful comeback—and I’m completely here for it. 🤍

From Kelly and Joe’s joyful ribbon-wand exit at St. James Chapel to portraits with their wedding party inside the historic Union League Club, every part of the day felt timeless. A satin gown with delicate lace, black tuxedos, navy dresses, white florals and elegant Chicago architecture—the kind of details that will look just as beautiful decades from now.

Classic will always be in style.

Golden hour has a way of making everything feel a little more romantic.

As the sun gets lower, the light becomes softer and warmer, creating a beautiful glow around the couple while flattering skin tones and softening harsh shadows. It gives photos that dreamy, luminous quality while still keeping them bright, natural, and timeless.

The light may only last for a few moments, but it’s always worth planning for. 🤍

Brandon and Zoe’s Adler Planetarium reception was such a dream—soft pink and blue florals, glowing candlelight, and the Chicago skyline surrounding their guests as they celebrated.

I always love photographing a reception space before everyone enters. These quiet moments preserve all the thoughtful details the couple spent months choosing—and allow them to see their vision fully brought to life before the celebration begins. ✨

Golden hour at the Armour House is just too good. 🤍

One thing I’m always looking for on a wedding day is how we can really use the location—not just as a pretty backdrop, but as part of the photo itself. The architecture, gardens, reflecting pool, that warm late-day light… there are so many beautiful little corners around this estate.

And when you add a long veil into the mix? We’re definitely using it. 😍

I love giving my couples a mix of closer, intimate portraits and images like this that pull back and show the entire scene. You chose a beautiful venue for a reason, and I want your photos to actually show it.

The Armour House at golden hour certainly did not disappoint. ✨

That wildfire haze definitely wasn’t part of the wedding day plan… but somehow it gave us this. 🤍

Our couple got married at the Adler Planetarium. For their sunset portraits, we were expecting that beautiful Chicago skyline, only to find it softened by the haze from the Canadian wildfires. Instead of fighting it, we worked with it—and I absolutely love how dreamy these turned out.

The soft skyline, the movement in her veil, the two of them tucked into the middle of it all. Sometimes the conditions you didn’t plan for end up creating something completely different—and so beautiful.

One of my favorite reminders that wedding photography isn’t always about having the “perfect” weather. It’s about making something beautiful with whatever the day gives us. ✨

One of my favorite reasons to bring the drone on a wedding day. 😍

We saw this little bridge surrounded by the gardens and knew we had to get a shot from above. I love how tiny they look in the middle of it all.

Definitely one of those photos you can’t get from the ground. 🤍

I will never get tired of photographing a beautiful bouquet. 💕

And this one? The colors were SO good. The pinks, lavender, little pops of white, all that greenery… it photographed beautifully and looked even better against her dress.

Wedding days go by ridiculously fast, so I always make time for the little details you spent months choosing. Because that bouquet deserves its moment too. 🌸

The first dance doesn’t have to be perfectly choreographed to be beautiful. 🤍

Some of my favorite first-dance photos happen when couples stop thinking about the room full of people watching and just enjoy those few minutes together. A little movement, a little laughter, and maybe a twirl or two is all you need.

A few tips for a first dance that photographs beautifully:

✨ Keep moving. Gentle turns and slow movement create more variety than staying in one spot.

✨ Add a twirl. If your dress has movement, take advantage of it! A simple spin can show off the shape and details of your gown beautifully.

✨ Look at each other. You don’t have to look at the camera—or even at your guests. Talk, laugh, and let yourselves have a moment together.

✨ Practice just enough. You don’t need a fully choreographed routine, but practicing your entrance, a turn or two, and your ending can help you feel much more comfortable.

✨ Hold your first dance before opening the dance floor. Keeping guests gathered around creates great energy and gives your photographer plenty of opportunities to capture their reactions, too.

✨ Most importantly, enjoy it. Your first dance is only a few minutes of the entire wedding day. Don’t spend it worrying about whether you’re doing everything “right.”

The best first-dance photographs aren’t necessarily the most perfect ones—they’re the ones where you can actually see how happy you were. 🤍

And when your dress was made to twirl like this… definitely give it its moment. ✨

I think Ella & Patrick officially win for having one of the funnest wedding parties ever. 😂🤍

Their wedding at Portmarnock Resort & Jameson Golf Links in Ireland was filled with the kind of energy you can’t pose or plan—friends and family laughing nonstop, hyping them up, and clearly having the absolute best time celebrating these two.

We got the beautiful, classic wedding party portraits… and then we let everyone be themselves. And honestly, those are always some of my favorites.

So much joy, so much personality, and a wedding party that understood the assignment. 🇮🇪

This entire day felt less like photographing a wedding and more like being invited into one really big, really fun celebration—and I think these photos say it all.

A little veil, a little sunshine, and a moment that feels completely their own. 🤍

I love creating portraits that still feel like YOU—romantic without being overly posed, beautiful without feeling forced, and full of the connection that brought you here in the first place.

Because years from now, I want you to remember exactly how this moment felt.
