A few strong to severe storms may be possible Saturday afternoon (a few non-severe storms possible Saturday morning). The best potential for severe weather will be for areas concentrated towards the southeast. The primary hazards will be for Hail up to the size of quarters and gusty winds up to 60 MPH.

Strong to severe thunderstorms are again possible (30-70%) Wednesday night, primarily north of the state line and along and east of HWY 281. Sunny skies return Thursday afternoon through Saturday morning, with highs reaching the upper 70s to low 80s Thursday, mid to upper 80s Friday, and mid 80s to 90s Saturday. Thunderstorm chances return Saturday afternoon as a cold front passes through the area.

Folks, please be aware of tonight’s storms as they will be from midnight to 6 AM tomorrow morning all all types of threats are possible this evening, meaning heavy rainfall, large hail, isolated tornadoes, and dangerous lightning!

Be alert tonight and be sure to have a way to receive warnings. A few severe storms will be possible across mainly central and eastern portions of the are between 1-6AM. The strongest storms may be able to carry large hail up to the size of limes (2" in diameter) or damaging thunderstorms wind gusts up to near 60MPH.
