So as I edited this, my lil guy was chillin on the bed next to me, watching tv, and occasionally lookin over to me while I edit photos. When Pete Lerro III started assembling this scene with Dave and his son, I was immediately flooded with emotion. wishing the lil man was jusssst a little older so I could have had him out for these incredible adventures we had this summer along the rails. I cannot wait to see if my son and I are going to share the same passions in life, as well as the ones he’s going to invite me towards when he discovers his own!
For all the generations of dads and their kids who have kept traditions alive for the love of their passions, and the bonds created along the way.
With the blood sweat and passion of the incredible team at Union Pacific Railroad restored this 4014, this magnificent machine, and then took it around the country to Everyones excitement! along the way showing a shining example of Something we, who have the love of Rail preservation, have the duty to pass down now to the next generation behind us.
