The second session of Woven was all about the everyday.

Motherhood isn’t made up of one big moment. It’s made up of thousands of small ones. Bath time. Morning cuddles. Tiny hands. Bare feet on kitchen floors. The routines that can feel so ordinary while you’re living them.

Those are the moments I wanted photographers to leave inspired to capture.

Because years from now, these won’t just be everyday memories. They’ll be the moments that tell the story of what life really looked like.

When I started dreaming about Woven, I knew I wanted the very first session of Content Day to reflect the heart behind the name.

In Scripture, to be woven is to be lovingly and intentionally created by God. Every life begins with His hands, every story with His purpose.

Motherhood is one of the most beautiful places to witness that truth. Before a baby ever takes their first breath, God is already writing a story. He is weaving together tiny details, growing families, and creating something only He could.

There couldn’t have been a more fitting way to begin Woven than by celebrating the sacred beginning of a family that is still being beautifully woven together.

“For You created my inmost being; You knit me together in my mother’s womb.” Psalm 139:13

Sweet Kennedy and her parents welcomed me into their home for the most wonderful in-home newborn session. There is something so special about documenting a family in the place where their story is unfolding right now. I love how in-home sessions offer such a unique experience because they allow families to relax in the comfort of their own space while creating images that are deeply personal and impossible to recreate anywhere else. Kennedy may not remember these days, but one day she’ll be able to look back and see exactly where her story began. 🤍

I am in the middle of what is possibly the craziest newborn season of my life, but no matter how full the calendar gets, every newborn session brings its own sweetness, connection, and story to tell.

One of my favorite things about this job is that no two sessions are ever the same. Every family is different, every baby has their own little personality, and every home holds memories that are uniquely theirs. Even during the busiest seasons, I never lose sight of what a privilege it is to be invited into such a special chapter of someone’s life. Getting to preserve these fleeting days for families is something I genuinely never take for granted.

Some people are just meant to be mamas, and this mama is definitely one of them. I spent the morning soaking up sweet Campbell cuddles. He doesn’t know it yet, but he gets to grow up with some really cool siblings and the best parents!

This week has been one of those nonstop, running on coffee and calendar notifications kind of weeks and this sweet newborn session was the perfect way to end it. This family drove nearly four hours to come see me in the studio on the rainiest, dreariest day ☔️ and we still had the best time soaking in all the sweetness that comes with a one week old baby!

Now it’s time to pack my bags, head out on vacation next week, and soak up a little slow time before jumping back into another busy stretch behind the camera! ☀️🏝️
