I think the first thing that stays constant with my relationship to the hula is, I love working with the dancers. It’s not just that they’re beautiful and we always have fun. It’s the energy that they share with me and the camera that people rarely get to see in any other setting or situation. It can be a magical experience that they share with you. Their energy, strength, and focus, is a beautiful feeling to be wrapped up in.

In Hula Kāhiko, the whole body becomes language.
