We are officially three weeks away from the 7th Annual DOUSA NC Red Drum Tournament!
Today we want to highlight another returning supporter of this event, 4 Horsemen Tackle!
Once again, they’ve stepped up to support our mission and help make this week possible for our participants, captains, and volunteers.
Their corks have become a familiar sight on boats across Eastern NC, and we’re thankful to have their continued support as we prepare to chase some giant Neuse, Bay, Pamlico, and Sound red drum.

We’re another day closer to the 7th Annual DOUSA NC Red Drum Tournament, and today’s Sponsor Spotlight is AFTCO!
AFTCO has stepped up and answered the call to support our participants and the mission behind this event.
Support from companies in the fishing industry means a lot to us. These donations help us put gear into the hands of our volunteer captains and participants and add some extra excitement to a week that is about so much more than just catching fish.
For a few days, they get to leave some of life’s challenges back at the dock, climb aboard with an incredible group of volunteer captains, and chase an Eastern NC red drum of a lifetime. 🐂🎣

🎣 23 DAYS OUT! 🎣
Today’s spotlight is a little different because we’re highlighting the team of volunteer captains who make the DOUSA NC Red Drum Tournament possible.
These fellas aren’t just showing up for a day of fishing. They’re giving up a week of chartering, family time, vacation days, and in some cases taking leave from active duty to come serve our participants and help give them the opportunity to catch a fish of a lifetime.
This year we have 10 returning boaters and 6 new captains joining the team.
Once again, a few members of our DOUSA family won’t be able to join us this year, and they’ll definitely be missed. We’re thankful for the trail they helped blaze, the example they set, and the foundation they helped build.
This group of captains has some big shoes to fill, but I know they’ll give everything they’ve got to carry that tradition forward.
To every captain giving up your time, your boat, your fuel, your tackle, and a piece of your life for this event...
THANK YOU.

We are officially 24 days away from the 7th Annual DOUSA NC Red Drum Tournament, and today we want to highlight another local business helping us take care of our participants, captains, and volunteers!
Today’s Sponsor Spotlight is Big Apple Pizza! 🍕
Big Apple Pizza Bistro in Havelock is always helping out within the community and once again will be stepping up. They will be donating pizzas for our Sunday evening meal, helping us kick off tournament week with full bellies and some good fellowship.
Big Apple has always been one of my go-to places when I’m craving some great food. Of course the pizza is awesome, but don’t sleep on their strombolis, pastas, salads, soups, and desserts! There’s plenty to choose from, and I’ve never had trouble finding something good.
We’re grateful to have another local business answering the call and supporting the DOUSA mission.
