You guys. The coolest thing happened to me at work yesterday. (And also, here's Abby and her sister Rainee being flawless, as usual.)

A customer recognized me from a local gym and told me I seemed like such a cool chick, then asked me for my number. She said "Is that weird?". I laughed so hard because inside I was totally freaking out over the thought of someone asking to be my friend. She texted me when I got off work and needless to say, I have a new friend and we will be gym-ing together in the near future.

I haven't been REAL enough with all of you, so we are going to start with a long ass post. I'e always struggled with making friends and finding "my people". Growing up, I always thought my personality was too weird and that my inability to make friends was due to that. I was convinced that something was wrong with me. It was MY fault.

The past few years have taught me that there is nothing wrong with my personality. I was always afraid to be myself when meeting people, afraid that they wouldn't like me or that I wouldn't check off their "friendship" boxes. F**K FRIENDSHIP BOXES. I've learned that it's better to be rejected for who you are TRULY, than to be liked for someone you're not. No one is going to LOVE you for someone you're not. I want to attract MY people and that's not going to happen if I act like someone I'm not.

Life has been a little hectic lately. I recently got a new job, so it's definitely been tough getting home and finding enough energy to edit some galleries. If you're still waiting on your gallery, I promise it's coming. Please bear with me while I adjust to this crazy thing we call life. At the end of the day, I just want to deliver the best images I possibly can. I love you all 💓

Ali and Bradley (and our +1 assistant Jenni 😁) endured many mosquito bites on this lovely evening. Was it worth it? I THINK SO!! No joke, we were swatting at all kinds of bugs left and right. I had to edit out a bug bite on Ali’s forehead in a lot of the photos. Oh, the things we do to get some great photos. Welcome to Eastern, NC folks 🤪

I’m interested in doing a maternity session for an open-minded mama who doesn’t mind following this criteria:

- outfit: Matching bralette and underwear, with lace/boho coverup **coverup will be provided, undergarments will NOT**
- posing in water/on sand
- available at 7-7:30pm this Saturday or Sunday July 11th or 12th
- currently at 30wks pregnant or more
- local to the New Bern/Havelock/MHC area

5 free images will be delivered and any additional images can be purchased individually as well.

Soooo, yesterday our A/C called it quits. I don’t know about y’all, but I’m a big we**ie when it comes to being hot or cold. Any temperature extreme, really 😅 (Don’t sign me up for any survivor shows because I’d be the first one to go.) Having cold air in my house is definitely something I take for granted every day. What are some things you’ve been reminded recently to appreciate? Let ya girl know! I need positive vibes right now 😬

Hey ya'll! I have been working on rebranding my business under a new, snazzy name. Soooo, be on the lookout for a giveaway coming super soon when we kick this thang off!

Meanwhile, I finally went through some photos my sister took of me in a parking garage. I have a slight obsession with parking garage photos. There's just something about a crap ton of cement, 6 stories high that gets my creativity going, ya know?
