Ezra Berger Celebration of Life

Who was Ezra Berger?
He was an artist. He was a friend, an educator, a promoter of others, a storyteller, and a historian. He was a father of two boys. He was humble and always lifted others up. He encouraged all who needed an extra push. Ezra was LOVE. He distributed love universally. Ezra built community. He was brilliantly talented, yet disliked focusing on himself. He gave the greatest bear hugs. He will live on in our hearts forever. He will forever have a positive impact on our community. Keep watch over our community from above.
We Love You, Ezra Berger!

This video is a collection of still images from the last 8 years that I have been photographing Ezra and his incredible art.

Victory Town Dedication and Celebration
Saturday, September 12⋅11:30 am – 1:00 pm

Havre de Grace is officially a Victory Town! Of nearly 20,000 incorporated communities in America, fewer than 200—less than 1%—are recognized as Victory Towns. These communities witnessed the historic march of American and French forces toward Yorktown, where they achieved a decisive victory in the American Revolution. In 1781, American and French troops passed through Havre de Grace on their march to Yorktown, including Rochambeau’s crossing of the Susquehanna River here on September 9. Join us as we celebrate Havre de Grace’s remarkable Revolutionary heritage and its place on the March to Victory! The ceremony also commemorates Lafayette’s birthday and Rochambeau’s historic crossing of the Susquehanna. Come celebrate our place in the story of American independence!

The sunrise occurred today at 6:40 am, Tuesday, September 8th. The Pride of Baltimore II was preparing to leave Havre de Grace, Maryland, at 7:00 am during high tide. The weather was spectacular, cool in the 60's with mist rising off the water. Farewell and Godspeed! Hope to see you next year.

Photos: Pride of Baltimore II, Havre de Grace Arrival on Friday morning, September 4th.
I was fortunate to get a ride with Captain Jeff Stagnoli of BaySail School of Sailing from Tidewater Marina. He did a fantastic job maneuvering around the Pride of Baltimore II for the best lighting.

The Pride of Baltimore II must stay in the channel and cannot sail into Havre de Grace. She draws a 12-foot draft. She needs more space and deeper water to sail.
